Luann de Lesseps Rushes Into Engagement: ‘Totally Hit It Off Like Wildfire’

Luann de Lesseps may feel completely head over heels in love with her new boyfriend, because she sure is moving fast. Luann has only been dating him for a few months, but she knew rather fast that he was the one for her. De Lesseps has been married once before, and she was engaged to Jacques Azoulay. But none of these relationships may compare to the one she’s in right now. According to a new Us Weekly report, Luann de Lesseps is now engaged. She will be tying the knot with her new boyfriend, who she just met a few months ago.

De Lesseps announced that she was engaged on Instagram last night. She announced that the rumors were true, and that she was now wearing a ring. She’s engaged to businessman Thomas D’Agostino Jr. Thomas may be filming The Real Housewives of New York with her, as she’s been busy filming with the other ladies since late last year.

“Thomas wanted to do the honor on Valentine’s Day, but just couldn’t wait and gave Luann an 8-carat canary yellow diamond ring. Luann is ‘over the moon’ in love with Thomas, considers him her soul mate and is so happy and grateful to have found love a second time,” her rep has revealed to Us Weekly, adding, “The two were introduced by their mutual friend and another RHONY cast member, Dorinda Medley, a few months ago and have been inseparable ever since. The happy couple are celebrating jetting off for a ski vacation in Vail, Colorado, this week.”

It is very interesting that Luann de Lesseps met Thomas through Dorinda Medley, her co-star on The Real Housewives of New York. Maybe it was a random meeting, or maybe Dorinda set them up on a blind date, because she felt it would be a good fit for them. Maybe fans will be told the story when the new season airs.

This will be the second marriage for Luann, who was previously married to Count Alexandre de Lesseps. They were married from 1993 to 2009, and divorced while she was filming The Real Housewives of New York. De Lesseps revealed that he may have been cheating on her with another woman while they were married. They have two children together, Noel, 19, and Victoria, 21.

For a few years, Luann de Lesseps was dating Jacques, and she considered having a child with him. She even tried out fertility treatments, but they later split. And maybe she didn’t feel that the relationship was right for her, because when she met Thomas a few months ago, they “totally hit it off like wildfire,” according to Radar Online.

De Lesseps knew that they were going to get married, and she had announced it a few weeks ago that Thomas was the man for him. However, she also said something similar about Jacques, revealing that he was very different than her ex. While she may not have been so eager to get married to Jacques, she did want another baby. But with her new man, Luann was quick to reveal that she was ready for marriage.

“They’ve been looking for rings, even though they are not officially engaged. But marriage is in the picture for sure,” one insider told the Page Six, adding, “Tom wants to get the perfect ring.”

Since Luann de Lesseps met her new man a few months ago, it is possible that their meeting was filmed for The Real Housewives of New York. The ladies haven’t filmed the reunion yet for this new season, so fans will be able to ask her questions about him if he isn’t a big part of this new season.
