Teresa Giudice Gets Honest In New Book: ‘She Couldn’t Even Breathe’

Teresa Giudice has been out of prison for just over a month now, and she is getting ready to publish a new book about her time behind bars. Teresa has written the book Turning The Tables: From Housewife To Inmate And Back Again, which chronicles her journey from being bankrupt and in legal troubles to going to jail. The book will share details about her time behind bars, and it will be released tomorrow. According to a new People report, Teresa Giudice is now sharing excerpts from the book about her life behind bars.

“Then came time for the toughest goodbyes of all. Joe and I went upstairs with the girls. We all lay down on the big bed in my room. All six of us. I told the girls, ‘Mommy has to leave.'”

“When?” asked Milania.

“Tonight,” I told them.

“Gabriella, who was 10 at the time, got so hysterical, she couldn’t even breathe. She usually held her feelings inside, but now she was inconsolable. When Joe’s father died, all the girls had gotten very emotional. They love their grandparents so much. We are all very close. They cried a lot. But this was 10 times worse than that. I held Gabriella and told her it was going to be okay – even though I knew it might not be. What else could I do?” Teresa Giudice reveals in her new book, Turning The Tables: From Housewife To Inmate And Back Again.

The memoir wasn’t written by Teresa herself; it was penned by a ghost writer while she was in prison. The book contains details about her life behind bars, and she’s already gotten into some trouble with the women who were in jail with her. Teresa may have included details about the other women who were locked up with her, who may not want their names in her book. Since the book hasn’t been released, no one really knows that Giudice wrote in the book.

After being released, Teresa Giudice sat down with Amy Robach to talk about her current situation. While Giudice was in prison, her husband filmed a special with their children, and they made some money from this special. This helped them pay off their restitution and get out of bankruptcy. They filed bankruptcy a few years ago, owing more than $11 million.

“[We’re not in] foreclosure any longer, thank you, God,” Teresa Giudice said in the interview with Amy Robach for Good Morning America, which airs tomorrow morning, adding, “And our restitution’s paid off. We’re in — thank God — in good shape.”

Of course, Teresa has denied that she did something wrong when her husband presented her with papers to sign. She trusted her husband, and Giudice signed documents. But when the fraud case surfaced, her name was included because of these signatures. While some people felt that she was just as guilty as her husband, she denies any wrongdoings.

“This is what happened in my eyes. I signed some papers. There was no intent to commit a crime. I didn’t know I was committing a crime,” Giudice told Robach, adding, “I got indicted. The government saw it differently. I got sentenced. I… served time. I did what I had to do and now I’m moving past it.”

Giudice may be busy filming the newest season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey with Bravo. The network hasn’t released any details about the new season, but it has been on hold for over a year to wait for her release.
