‘Castle’ Season 8 Spoilers: Beckett And Castle Secretly Hook Up In Episode 9 [VIDEO]
After a short hiatus, Castle Season 8 returns on Monday, February 8, with Episode 9, titled “Tone Death.” The new episode will focus on Beckett (Stana Katic) and Castle’s (Nathan Fillion) attempt to rekindle the spark in their relationship.
In a sneak peek for the upcoming episode of Castle Season 8, Beckett and Castle were seen secretly hooking up during lunch.
“Who would have thought that secret dating would be so productive?”
The couple agreed that their public fights made their “private time more intense.” Things, however, started to become uncomfortable when Beckett had to leave. After seeing the look on Castle’s face, the detective insisted that she will involve him in everything LOCKSAT when the right time comes.
“I’m done playing lone wolf. I promise you when the time comes, I will loop you in on everything LOCKSAT.”
Castle, however, insisted that he could be her “secret weapon” to take him down.
“Trust me, 007. When its time we will take down LOCKSAT together,” she replied.
In the past season of Castle, the spark between the couple slowly started to fade to the disappointment of fans. To make matters worse, Beckett even asked for a time out in an attempt to save Rick from potential harm.
During the fall finale for Castle Season 8, Kate opened up to Rick on what was really going on. She, however, insisted that they should act like they have broken up in public to not deter the operation.

Matt Mitovich, of TVLine, held that shippers of Caskett will be happy to know that their spark has definitely returned come Episode 9, “Tone Death.” Turns out, Beckett and Castle could not keep their hands off each other when no one is looking in the coming episodes.
” ‘Tone Deaf’ marks a return to form — a small step in the direction of early Season 5, when Rick and Kate first canoodled on the QT,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the promo video for Castle Season 8 Episode 9 teased that Rick will be cornered by Ryan (Seamus Dever) and Esposito (Jon Huertas) into admitting that he is seeing someone behind Beckett’s back. They thought that he is cheating on his wife after catching him secretly talking to someone on the phone a couple of times.
“Castle, don’t you lie to us. Beckett’s our family. You cheat on her, you cheat on us,” Ryan said.
As he could not tell Ryan and Esposito that he and Beckett are back together, Castle had no choice but to say it was Svetlana, who the latter thought was a Russian underwear model.
In an interview with Zap2It, Castle showrunner Terence Paul Winter said that Beckett and Castle’s “arrangement” paved the way for some exciting storyline for Season 8. He shared that fans will enjoy seeing how different the couple acts when they are out in public.
“There’s a lot of delightful sequences as to how Castle and Beckett are working cases; how they have to react to each other when they’re around Esposito, Ryan, or anyone else.”
Given their situation, Castle and Beckett had to “sneak around and sleep with each other” while making those close to them believe that they are heading for a divorce.

Winter, however, pointed out that it is not all fun and games for Castle season 8. While Beckett insisted that Rick stayed out of the search for LOCKSAT, the showrunner hinted that he will become involved one way or another. Terence Winter added that they will eventually caught up to him in the latter part of Season 8.
