Watch a battle of Pakistan Super league cricket unbeatens as the Quetta Gladiators face the Pehaswar Zalmi in the seventh match of the new T20 franchise tournament, a competition that has become the focus of the Pakistan cricket scene less than a week into the first-ever edition of the PSL.
Both teams come into the Sunday showdown at 2-0, one-quarter of the way through the eight-game schedule played by each of the league's five teams, meaning that Sunday's game could go a long way to determining the top finisher in the PSL, in which the top four teams out of the five franchises in the new league will qualify for the playoff round.
Karachi Kings sit in the middle of the table at 1-1, with Islamabad United and Lahore Qalanders still winless.
But it is Peshawar that has most captured the imaginations of fans watching the PSL on television and streaming live online in Pakistan and internationally. The team is captained by the most popular player in Pakistan cricket, 35-year-old Shahid "Boom Boom" Afridi, who also captains his country's national T20 team.
Pakistan's most dominant fast bowler, Wahab Riaz, leads the bowling attack and national team veteran Mohammad Hafeez featuring on the batting side.

What has perhaps most endured the Zamli to fans is the city they represent, the northwest Pakistan metropolis of Peshawar, which 14 months ago was the site of the country's worst terrorist attack. Seven Taliban gunmen stormed the Army Public School in Peshawar on December 16, 2014, massacring 132 schoolchildren ranging from eight to 18 years old, as well as nine adults.
Afridi visited the stricken school on January 26 of this year, promising to fly about 120 students accompanied by 30 staff members to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, where the Pakistan Super League is forced to play its matches due to the ongoing threat of further terrorist attacks.

In fact, about a week before Afridi's visit to Peshawar, a suicide bombing killed 19 in the city, and police stopped another planned attack at a bus station there.
Afridi and the Peshawar franchise fulfilled their promise, bringing the students to Dubai for the PSL opening ceremonies, as well as at least the first two matches played by Peshawar. Afridi dedicated the team's first victory, a 24-run win over Islamabad on Friday, to the visiting students, most of whom are survivors of the horrific terrorist attack — some of them even suffering bullet wounds in the shooting.

While Peshawar may be the sentimental favorite, Quetta Gladiators will be looking to stay unbeaten, as well as put themselves alone at the top of the league. With Pakistan fast bowler Anwar Ali leading the attack, and former England star Kevin Pietersen anchoring the batting, Quetta presents the toughest challenge yet for Afridi and his squad.
The first game of the day pits Islamabad United vs. Karachi Kings at 3:30 p.m. local time, 6:30 a.m. Eastern and 3:30 a.m. Pacific in the United States.
Karachi got off the mark in their second game on Friday, led by a hat-trick from Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir, who took down Dwayne Bravo, Zohaib Khan and Kevon Cooper of Lahore Qalanders in rapid succession as Karachi scored a seven-wicket win.
