Josh Duggar’s Porn Star Assault Case With Danica Dillon Just Took An Interesting Twist

It’s been nearly a year since Josh Duggar’s crimes began to unweave the complicated tapestry of America’s most super-sized celebrity family. Somewhere in the midst of it, porn star Danica Dillon claimed that Josh’s sisters weren’t the only ones to suffer from his inappropriate sexual behavior.

But now Danica is walking back those statements. According to TMZ, she has completely dropped her case against Duggar. The entertainment news site reported that Dillon admitted to fabricating the assault allegations against Josh. It appears that she arrived at the decision after Duggar produced ample evidence that she had made up the entire situation. In the court documents, she flatly admits that Josh’s proof derailed her claims.

Danica Dillon says Josh Duggar didn't rape her

A few days prior to the most recent update on the case, TMZ also published an article stating that Josh and his legal team were hesitant to let Danica get away with just dismissing her lawsuit. Dillon, however, hadn’t completely given up; she said Duggar’s admission of sex addiction treatment was still pretty damning. Still, Josh’s legal team didn’t seem particularly swayed by this claim.

“Here’s her problem. Under the law she lost her right to simply drop the case with an option to refile. Danica says in the docs her lawyers approached Duggar’s attorneys to see if they’d be agreeable to the dismissal, but they balked. Josh’s lawyers say they’ll only agree if Dillon drops her case forever and retracts her allegations on her social media accounts. He also wants her to foot his legal bills.”

Although the court storm has subsided for the time being, Dillon’s allegations were a huge shock to an already debilitated Duggar empire when she first came forward with them last August. Danica claimed that Josh approached her in a strip club where she was working and subsequently paid her $1,500 to return to his hotel room to have sex with him. At the time, she says she had no idea who Duggar was and assumed he was just “an everyday fan,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

“I tried to be sexy and seductive, and then he was like, ‘No, let’s get straight to the point,’ and [we] took our clothes off, took his clothes off, and he was very rough with me… He threw me on the bed and, in all honesty, though it was consensual it more or less felt like I was being raped… I never said no, I am going to have to reiterate that, I never told him no, but I did push him back and push him off and say that’s too rough that’s too rough.”

About a month later, Dillon was again approached by Josh inside of a Philadelphia club where he apologized for his previous behavior. She again met privately for sex with Duggar with her “phone under the pillow with 9-1-1 already dialed in.” This time, she said, Josh was even more obsessed with controlling the encounter.

Shortly after Duggar’s infidelity was confirmed by cheating site Ashley Madison’s leak of personal data, Danica decided to come forward.

“I have always been a private person, I have never wanted my face in any kind of scandal, especially this one, because I was being called a home wrecker, a whore, a horrible person. I had no clue that this man was married, and I had no clue that I was going to ruin his life or his wife or hurt her, I had no intentions on doing that.”
