Solange Knowles Loses Wedding Ring In Mardi Gras Parade

Solange Knowles found out the hard way that Mardi Gras is a wild time. Beyonce’s sister reportedly lost her wedding ring in the middle of the festivities in the streets. Solange was taking in the Krewe of Muses annual Mardi Gras celebration when she realized that her wedding ring had gone missing.

Solange is a member of the Krewe of Muses organization. In a Facebook post, Krewe of Muses sent out a public post about the missing ring:

“Honorary Muse Solange lost her wedding ring between Toledano and Foucher. Reward if found! Contact info@kreweofmuses.org.”

Others immediately took to the post to send their condolences to Solange over her lost ring:

“Well, hopefully someone will turn it in for the reward, I’m sure the reward offered would be more than someone could pawn it for.”

“It’s a beautiful ring. Hope it is insured. My stepson lost his brand new class ring years ago in much the same way…at a Mardi Gras parade.”

Prior to losing her ring, Solange Knowles posted a celebratory video of herself dancing.

Aaaaaand it begins!!!! #turnupmardigras Thanks to one of my oldest and most lovely friends @itsjeremyscott for making me feel like a real Mardi Gras Queen in @moschino???????? So honored to be your Queen of Muses #kreweofmuses!!! We about to be turnt in that glitter shoe!!! See you soon Nola!

That said, even though she lost her wedding ring, it doesn’t look like she let that upsetting situation get her down. Mardi Gras is all about partying, and Knowles seemed to be all about that. After the news had broken, Solange posted a message about her trip to New Orleans, but didn’t focus on the lost ring:

Truly, truly honored. Playing Cash Money and No Limit all day. Thank you New Orleans for all the love you’ve shown.

Solange and husband, director Alan Ferguson, were married in New Orleans in November of 2014. It was a big family affair as the Knowles sisters have roots in New Orleans. The whole bridal party even posed for a photo shoot for the occasion:

The last time we heard from Solange, she was blasting people who were calling her son, Julez, 11, “ugly.” Knowles took to her Instagram to shame those who were commenting on her son’s looks after she shared a photo of Julez being too “cool” to dress up for Halloween.

She shot back at one particular commenter, and it was obvious she was not amused by people insulting her child.

“Just as I thought it was safe to share pictures again, a young’n like you decides to use her time to spread ugliness.”

“I don’t fault you, I can only imagine why you would feel the need to say such things, but thank again for being a reminder that out of all the love and wonderful energy shared, that when I open up a space for an innocent beautiful being like my boy to be criticised and judged, that I WILL most likely respond, and that he receives enough love and celebration at home that it’s just not worth it to go down this road.”

“I hope that this really resonates with you and you make better decisions in the future towards how you use your words towards innocent children. And @ro.rxd get ya friend because this could have truly gone south if I was in the wrong mood.”

Solange’s fans followed suit by defending her and her son Julez.
