Harley Quinn Smith Nearly Kidnapped By Fake Uber Drivers, Dad Kevin Smith Buys Her A Cake To Cheer Her Up

Harley Quinn Smith, the 16-year-old daughter of Clerks director Kevin Smith, is becoming a star in her own right these days. She made her acting debut as a child in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back as Baby Silent Bob, the role made famous as an adult by Kevin Smith in his View Askewniverse. Harley Quinn Smith would also appear in a couple of other Kevin Smith films as a child, Jersey Girl and Clerks II. More recently, she appeared as Colleen Mackenzie in Kevin Smith’s Tusk and will reprise that role in the upcoming Yoga Hosers, the latest film from Kevin Smith that will also star Johnny Depp, his daughter Lily-Rose Depp, Haley Joel Osment, and of course, Kevin Smith. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 24.

However, not everything has been sunshine and rainbows for Harley Quinn Smith as of late. In a stunning story that she shared on Instagram, Smith revealed that she was nearly kidnapped by two men who were posing as Uber drivers as she was waiting at a corner in Los Angeles for an actual Uber driver.

“PEOPLE OF LOS ANGELES- I was just standing outside a Starbucks in Brentwood, where I was waiting for my uber when a large, beige car drove up to me and tried to get me to think they were my uber. There were two white men (age 20-30) in the driver (blonde hair) and passenger (brown hair) seat with an uber sign on their front window, but they were most definitely not uber drivers. When I asked who they were there to pick up, making sure it was the right car, they wouldn’t answer me and said to get in the car. They didn’t have the uber app on their phone and were clearly just two disgusting dudes trying to kidnap a girl standing on her own. Protect yourself and never ever get in a car without checking that it’s the correct car first!!! I was in too much haze of fear that I wasn’t thinking straight enough to think to take a picture of the drivers or the license plate, but if you see a car like this PLEASE report it to the police and stop them from trying to pray on other young girls!!! We have already reported it to the police, but more information would be helpful in finding them. Be careful and look out for yourself/others!!!!”

The incident would be a scary moment for anyone, let alone a 16-year-old girl. Luckily for Harley Quinn Smith, she escaped unharmed and as she stated, Smith has reported the incident to the police. In an effort to make his distraught daughter feel better later that day, Kevin Smith gave Harley Quinn a special gift in the form of a cake that simply said “Sorry Men Suck.” Kevin Smith is just awesome, isn’t he? Harley Quinn Smith certainly thought so and once again took to her Instagram to make sure everyone else knows that as well with a special caption.

“Just when I was about to lose faith in humanity after almost being kidnapped today, my dad got me this cake and made me remember that some people, like himself, make the world a lot better.”

Kevin Smith also bought Harley Quinn another gift recently. Harley Quinn Smith is obviously named after the Batman villain who will be played by Margot Robbie in the upcoming Suicide Squad film. Just before the Smith family left for Sundance, he gave Harley Quinn the actual bat that Robbie used during filming.

Harley Quinn Smith told the New York Post why Kevin Smith gave her the unusual gift.

“My dad was like, ‘I don’t know what’s gonna happen at Sundance, but I want you to have this totem to fend off anybody you meet.?.?. since it’s your first Sundance.”

The two men that attempted to abduct Smith are certainly lucky that she didn’t have the bat on her at the time. The most important thing to come out of all of this is the fact that Harley Quinn Smith is okay. Kevin Smith also proved once again that he’s one of the coolest dads on the planet.
