WWE Rumors: Anoa’i Family Getting Involved At ‘Wrestlemania 32’

WWE rumors are suggesting that not only will the Anoa’i family be there at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, but they will also being getting involved when Roman Reigns takes on Triple H in the main event of Wrestlemania 32 for the world heavyweight championship. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Dwayne Johnson would be in the corner of his cousin, and moves made on the official website for World Wrestling Entertainment suggests that he’s not going to be the only one.

Earlier today, WWE uploaded a very interesting video on their official YouTube channel. It was a list of five things that you might not have known about the Anoa’i family, who have reigned over professional wrestling for a couple of decades now. Generally, the company likes to throw out hints at the internet wrestling community when they upload things to their website, their YouTube channel, and their various social media accounts.

The move would make sense on a whole lot of levels.

First and foremost, by having the family involved, WWE would be doing their best to help give Roman Reigns the big Wrestlemania moment that he deserves. That moment was robbed from him last year because the audience had turned on him because they wanted the beloved Daniel Bryan to be in the top spot. Having that big Wrestlemania moment goes a long way in winning over fans.

Right now, there is a major fear backstage in WWE that the audience is going to turn on Roman Reigns again at Wrestlemania. That’s the reason why they put the belt on Triple H, who is a master manipulator of the audience, at the Royal Rumble. They feel that if anyone can get the fans to root for Reigns, it would be HHH. It is also the reason why they wrote out a paycheck to Dwayne Johnson to be at the event, as he’s still one of the most popular performers around.

Another good reason why WWE would involve the Anoa’i family is because it would be a nice way of apologizing for what happened last year at Wrestlemania 31. While some members of the family actually do live in the Bay Area, there were plenty that traveled all the way to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara so that they could be there in person to support Roman Reigns, who was supposed to be victorious at the end of the night. The family was reportedly very upset.

WWE doesn’t necessarily need to apologize to the family, but it would be a smart move to do so. For starters, they’re hoping to rely on one of those family members, Roman Reigns, to replace John Cena as the face of the promotion. Keeping him appeased would be a very good move, especially since the company has lost so many of their top stars to injuries. There’s also another family member, Dwayne Johnson, that gives them a major boost every time he shows up.

World Wrestling Entertainment doesn’t need to be too extravagant with the Anoa’i family. They can simply do a victory celebration after Roman Reigns inevitably recapture the WWE Heavyweight Championship from Triple H. Dwayne Johnson can raise his arms and concede the ring to Reigns. Johnson can then head up to the ramp to join the Usos in doing their entrance routine, while the family stand in unison behind them on the entrance ramp.

A scene like that might finally convince the WWE fan base to support Roman Reigns. If they can figure out how to do that, then they will have accomplished something that they could not do for John Cena.
