Lisa Rinna On Yolanda’s ‘Despicable’ Comment: ‘This Was A Good Conversation’

Lisa Rinna may be known for her big lips, but it sounds like Real Housewives of Beverly Hills may soon know her as having a big mouth. Lisa knows that it may not have been the best idea to talk about Yolanda Foster’s illness behind her back and question whether she has Munchausen syndrome, which is a disorder where you fake being ill for the sake of attention. None of the other housewives questioned whether she was ill or not, but questioned whether lyme disease was the right diagnosis.

According to a new Bravo report, Lisa Rinna is now revealing that she decided to speak with Yolanda about the illness, because she didn’t want the drama to become more than what it was. Remember, Lisa wasn’t accusing Yolanda of having Munchausen syndrome, but she did want Foster to know that some people were talking about it and suggesting it behind her back.

“What a relief it was when Yolanda agreed to meet with me, since I had called her weeks before this asking to take her to lunch at that time so I could address the conversations I was a part of. She told me that she did not want to talk to me before her explant surgery, and I could understand and respect that. So, keep in mind, quite a bit of time had passed before she agreed to speak with me,” Lisa Rinna reveals in her Bravo blog, sharing that she had tried many times to get a hold of Yolanda to smooth things over.

Of course, many of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ladies didn’t set the record straight or defend Yolanda Foster when the topic of Munchausen syndrome first came up. Many of the ladies, including Lisa Rinna, were concerned that Foster was sick with something more than just lyme disease. And while the ladies could easily talk behind Yolanda’s back, Rinna really wanted to sit down with Foster to clear the air — at least between them.

“As you all know, honesty is very important to me, so being able to sit down with Yolanda in her home and speak candidly with her about all of the questions and chatter surrounding her health was a good thing for both of us. We were able to discuss her deep desire to bring awareness to Lyme Disease, and I was also able to address how in the process of raising awareness, many questions fueled from confusion will also, inevitably, rise to the surface,” Rinna reveals, adding, “I know Yolanda already knows this to be true as she said herself — even her own family and friends have raised questions. Overall, this was a good conversation, and I am happy to move forward.”

Of course, Yolanda has tried to be very open and honest about her disease. She’s a huge advocate to find a cure, and two of her three children have been diagnosed, as well. So, one can imagine that she was shocked to find out that one of her co-stars and friends would even question that. And according to Us Weekly, Yolanda’s response to Lisa Rinna was perfect — “downright despicable.”

“Oh, my god — are you kidding? Did they say that?” Foster replied after learning of the stories behind her back, adding, “That is insane. Lisa Vanderpump? Oh, my god — that is just shocking. It doesn’t bother me about me, but to say that about my children!”

Luckily, Foster can handle people talking about her, but she was shocked that they would talk about her children. Lisa Rinna may understand why her co-star is upset. It must be hard to struggle with a disease that no one really understands and then have people question it — simply because they don’t understand. Regardless, it seems like Lisa feels much better about the situation and even posted a picture of herself with Foster on Instagram.
