‘Dance Moms’ Season 6 Spoilers: Abby Lee Miller, Maddie Ziegler Both A No-Show In Episode 5

Dance Moms Season 6 Episode 5, titled “Abby’s Replaceable,” will continue to focus on how Abby Lee Miller’s impending bankruptcy fraud charges will affect ALDC.

According to the Dance Moms spoilers page, Tuesday’s episode will show how the girls’ fared at the Fierce Dance Competition held in Lawndale, California, last November. In spite of Abby’s absence, the team actually did well in their weekly dances.

In the last episode, fans saw a distraught Abby Lee Miller talking to her legal counsel on the phone. She admitted that she was asked to leave Dance Moms for a while to concentrate on the legal proceedings. Due to her absence, ALDC had to find a new choreographer to take Miller’s place.

In the sneak peek video for Episode 5, aptly titled “Abby’s Replacement,” it was revealed that Nakul Dev Mahajan from So You Think You Can Dance will be taking Abby’s place. He will be teaching the team a Bollywood-inspired number that they will perform at the Fierce Dance Competition.

When Nakul entered the room, it is clear that the ALDC members did not have an idea who he was. He, however, quickly broke the ice and told them how much of a Dance Moms fan he is.

“You guys don’t know who I am [but] I know who you guys are. I love your team and I have been watching you for so many years,” he shared.

When Nakul Dev Mahajan revealed that he is the “Bollywood guy” from So You Think You Can Dance, the girls and their moms immediately started to get even more excited. He even told the girls that they would surely take home the first prize for this routine.

The moms also seemed to like Nakul. After all they have been through, Jill Vertes said that he is definitely a breath of fresh air, adding that he is what the kids need right now.

In spite of the novelty of the new coach, most of the Dance Moms stars seemed to be under pressure. Holly Frazier, along with the other moms, were worried that the minis will not be able to catch up with the elites.

“My biggest issue, honestly, with the minis dancing with the elites [is] the girls have never danced together before, and Abby’s not here. I’m really worried right now.”

In the promo video for Dance Moms Season 6 Episode 5, Nakul seemed upset with the girls’ performance.

“It’s messy. We know it’s messy,” he said.

At one point, the camera panned to some of the ALDC members crying. Frazier could not help but blame everything to Abby Lee Miller once again. She pointed out that she left the team “incredibly vulnerable.”

“After Abby resigned last week, I think it’s very clear Abby set us up for failure.”

It also did not help that Maddie Ziegler is again a no-show. The reality star had her hands tied busy filming The Book of Henry.

In spite of all the drama surrounding their group dance routine for the Fierce Dance Competition, spoilers revealed that they eventually took home the first place for both overall and junior division.

Kalani Hilliker and Nia Frazier’s duet “Isolations” also placed 1st in the teen division and 4th overall. For their routine, the girls had to take an African dance class at Debbie Allen’s Dance Academy.

The minis also did well in their recent competition. For their “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” contemporary dance, they were able to bag the first place in the mini division. They, however, did not place overall.
