‘General Hospital’ News: Frank Valentini Teases Big Announcement, Hints Coming Your Way

Frank Valentini can be quite a tease. The General Hospital executive producer has just announced that there is something huge coming up on the ABC soap very soon, and it seems to be driving fans crazy as to what that could be. February sweeps is coming up, and it is also fan February, which could mean that it is something that fans will find quite exciting.

What could possibly be the big news that Valentini posed a few days ago on Twitter? There are certainly many possibilities, and fans of General Hospital have been speculating on social media on who or what he is talking about.

“Huge GH News coming Next week!!! Stay tuned. #GHWildWinter.”

General Hospital has been on fire these days. Between the love triangle with Jason, Sam, and Elizabeth, the drama with Sabrina’s baby, and the newly engaged couple Nik and Hayden, things are definitely heating up. Don’t forget about little Jake Webber, who is now in a fix after Sam tripped down the basement stairs and her life is now hanging in the balance.

Will there be an interesting twist to these story lines that Valentini is hinting about? Or maybe an old character is being brought back on General Hospital.

One particular character who has been mentioned by fans as a possibility of returning is Duke Lavery. He is supposedly dead, and Anna Devane has been dealing with her grief since he was shot and killed. GH fans would love to see that he is alive and well, just like Carlos is. It would be great to see actor Ian Buchanan back on screen. If he was the one coming back, it could also be that he appears briefly to Anna in a dream sequence as well.

Another character who has been mentioned is Britt Westbourne. She could come back to cause friction between Nik and Hayden. She also got along famously with little Spencer. This news could also be that Tony Geary may be coming back to General Hospital as Luke Spencer. He left the soap last year, but he did say that he would be willing to return if and when the time is right.

Of course, it could also be that soap vet Tristan Rogers is staying in Port Charles permanently in his character of Robert Scorpio. GH fans would love to keep him on board long-term instead of just a short stint to help Anna take down Paul Hornsby.

What about the return of Silas Clay? Now that would be huge news. Most General Hospital fans were quite mad that this fan-favorite was killed off. Michael Easton is well loved, and his return would be welcomed.

With the recent breakup of Jason and Elizabeth and the disturbing incident involving their son Jake, now would be a good time for Lucky Spencer to return to Port Charles. Elizabeth could use a shoulder to cry on, and Lucky has always been a favorite as well. It has recently been hinted by Soap Central that actor Greg Vaughan could be coming back into this role. Could this be happening soon?

You won’t have long to wait, because it looks like Tuesday will be the day that everyone will find out what the big news is all about. In the meantime, Frank Valentini tweeted that General Hospital viewers should watch Monday and Tuesday’s episodes closely because there will be hints as to what it could be.

“Big big news for GH fans in Two Days…only here. #GHWildWinter Watch Monday and Tuesday for hints.”

Interesting enough, Kristina Wagner, who plays Felicia Jones Scorpio, will be tweeting live during Tuesday’s show. Does this have anything to do with this huge announcement?

It will be fun to take a guess as to what this all could be about. There are so many possibilities and everyone has their own opinion on what they want it to be.

What is your opinion on this? Watch General Hospital on Monday and Tuesday, and then take a guess as to what will be announced this week.
