New ‘Justice League’ Animated Series Coming With Voices Of Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill

Just about anyone and everyone that ever watched Batman: The Animated Series in the ’90s or the Justice League animated series in the early ’00s knows that Kevin Conroy is Batman. With that, they know that Mark Hamill is The Joker. Well, they can now rejoice because not only are both returning to voice those iconic characters, but they are also doing it in a brand new Justice League animated series coming to Cartoon Network.

The series coming to Cartoon Network will be the creation of Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics, according to Variety. The “quarter-hour” episodes will last 11 minutes each and the series is going to be titled Justice League Action.

Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman will lead the team, but there is going to be a rotating roster of heroes battling multiple villains and threats to the universe. Think about it more in the sense of Justice League Unlimited which brought forth a ton of different characters from the comics.

As if that isn’t exciting enough, longtime DC Comics animation fans are thrilled to know that Kevin Conroy is returning as the voice of Batman. Not only was he the voice of the Caped Crusader in the previously mentioned series, but also in a number of video games and other Batman animated series.

Mark Hamill is also coming back to take on the iconic role of voicing The Joker, and that has fans even more excited. Hamill has said before he would love to voice The Joker again, and even hoped to get that role in the animated version of Batman – The Killing Joke.

Other voices announced so far are James Woods as Lex Luthor and Diedrich Bader as Booster Gold.

The announcement of this new animated series is right in the middle of the craze going on for the live-action Justice League movie. There is much more coming though, and it’s an exciting time to be a fan of DC Comics.

A start date for Justice League Action on Cartoon Network has not yet been announced.

Another big release coming in the world of the animated Justice League is a new DC Universe Original Movie called Justice League vs. Teen Titans, and now, there’s a trailer for it too.

The Blu-ray Deluxe Edition, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD are all going to be released on Apr. 12, 2016. The deluxe edition will come with an exclusive Robin figurine in a limited-edition, numbered gift set, according to MovieWeb.

Justice League vs. Teen Titans is a unique twist of a tale for the two teams in which the Justice League ends up turning evil due to the demonic forces of Trigon. In order to save the world and their superhero friends, the Teen Titans must rescue, and defeat, the Justice League before it is too late.

Jason O’Mara will take on the role of voicing Batman, and he’s done that before in a number of animated movies such as Son of Batman, Batman vs. Robin, and Batman: Bad Blood. Fans have had no problem with O’Mara as Batman’s voice, but they’re thrilled at the return of Conroy.

Justice League vs. Teen Titans will be available digitally on Mar. 29, 2016.

There have been a number of animated movies over the years, but the Justice League animated series ended back in 2006. Fans have been asking for another one for many years, and if successful enough, it may turn into a full 30-minute episode series.

Kevin Conroy as Batman. Mark Hamill as The Joker. The new Justice League Action animated series coming to Cartoon Network already has plenty of people excited, and hopefully, a start date will be announced soon.
