‘Teen Mom 2’ Leah Messer & Corey Simms Custody Battle Outcome Revealed, She Regains Time With Twins [Report]

Leah Messer and Corey Simms of Teen Mom 2 were in court yesterday to readdress their ongoing custody battle over their 6-year-old twin girls, Ali and Aleeah, and lucky for the Teen Mom 2 star, she reportedly gained more time with her kids.

After losing primary custody of Ali and Aleeah during an October 2015 hearing, the 23-year-old mother of three (Leah Messer is also mom to 2-year-old Adalynn from her second marriage to Jeremy Calvert, which ended in divorce in June 2015) agreed to a “shared parenting” plan with Simms.

“[Leah Messer] and Corey will get equal time with their girls,” a source close to Simms revealed to Radar Online on January 28. “The hearing went very smoothly. They both finally came to an agreement that was best for everyone… Both sides are very happy with the new plan.”

Prior to their 2015 custody hearing, Simms had made shocking allegations against Leah Messer on Teen Mom 2, claiming the reality star was hiding a drug problem. Leah Messer’s second husband also spoke of the issue, claiming she was suffering from a “prescription pill problem.” However, because Leah Messer’s prescriptions were prescribed to her for pain, a drug test done was considered “negative.” Still, rumors of her alleged addiction struggles continued, and in May 2015, she entered a rehab center in Arizona, claiming to be suffering from anxiety and depression.

According to the report, the new custody agreement was “great news” for Leah Messer, who was said to be “deeply depressed” after losing custody last year. In fact, Leah Messer was convinced her ex-husband had convinced school attendance records in an effort to have custody stripped from her (insiders close to Simms, meanwhile, denied the accusations).

While Leah Messer and Simms have be at odds for many years, they are reportedly both happy with the agreement, which is a major stride in their co-parenting relationship.

“Everyone is getting along for the first time in a long time,” an insider revealed. “It’s what’s best for the twins.”

During the Teen Mom 2 Season 6 reunion last year, it was revealed that Leah Messer had engaged in an affair with Simms, whom she cheated on days before they wed in 2010, in 2013, just months after Simms married his current wife, Miranda. Because of Leah Messer’s typically strained relationship with Simms, the revelation came as a major shock to fans — especially since Simms and Miranda are still together.

In other Leah Messer news, Calvert has reportedly gotten back together with Brooke Wehr, whom he began dating amid filming on season 6 last year.

“They split for a little while but are back together right now and going strong,” a source told the Ashley’s Reality Roundup. “Brooke is really different from [Leah Messer] and Jeremy is really happy with her. They have a lot of fun together.”

The source also confirmed that Calvert had recently taken on a different position at his job, leaving him with a lot more time to spend with Wehr and his daughter with Leah Messer, Adalynn.

“He’s still working in the pipe lining business, but this position means less traveling for Jeremy, which is good for his relationship with Brooke,” the source explained. “It will also give Jeremy a lot more time with his daughter.”

Still, said the source, “they’re in no rush to live together or anything like that. They both have daughters, so they want to make sure that they are going to last before they move in together and get the kids involved.”

Leah Messer will return to MTV later this year in Teen Mom 2 Season 7.
