The details surrounding Sienna Miller’s reported birth over the weekend in London have so far been kept under tight wraps, but now the name of the star’s newborn daughter has been revealed.
Miller, who along with her fiance Tom Sturridge, welcomed the birth of a beautiful baby girl on Sunday, had reportedly chosen Marlowe as a name, and now Sienna’s sister Savannah seems to have confirmed the news on Twitter.
“Marlowe I love you…..,” she wrote yesterday.
While the story behind Marlowe’s name remains unknown, Entertainmentwise.com suggests the couple was inspired “by Charles Marlow, British writer Joseph Conrad’s alter-ego who narrated several of his most famous novels including Heart Of Darkness.
News of Sienna’s pregnancy broke in January, and a month later the Layer Cake star was spotted wearing an engagement ring.
Speaking to British Vogue shortly before giving birth, she said:
“Even though I’m under strict instructions not to say anything, I’m feeling fine. It’s all progressing nicely and it’s very exciting. I feel very grounded, more than ever. It’s a wonderful feeling, but all of a sudden, I’ve started to get cravings.
“I usually don’t have a sweet tooth but these tarts I could eat all day long!” Miller gushed at the time.
The UK’s Daily Mail reports that Miller, 30, and Sturridge, 26, have been dating for over a year.
Prior to Sturridge, Miller was linked to Alfie co-star Jude Law but the two split after it was discovered that Law was unfaithful in the relationship.
