Kris Jenner Speaks Out About Nicole Brown Simpson’s Death, Says It Could Have Been Prevented

Kris Jenner was one of Nicole Brown Simpson’s best friends when she was murdered. Now that it is almost time for a new show about her death and O. J. Simpson’s trial, Kris is speaking out about the death of Nicole. This new show The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story will premiere on February 2. People shared what Kris Jenner had to say about Nicole’s death and the fact that she feels like it could have actually been prevented. Kris actually sat down with Hollywood Today Live hosts Ross Mathews and Garcelle Beauvais on Tuesday, January 26, to share her thoughts.

Kris Jenner has made it very clear over the years that she really does miss Nicole Brown Simpson, and the two were very close at the time of her death. Kris feels like she missed something and this could have been prevented from what she revealed.

“I saw all the pictures and the police reports and I heard tapes of Nicole calling 911. I beat myself up because I felt like I wasn’t paying attention. Like, how did I miss this? But that’s typical in an abusive relationship — that the woman doesn’t speak out about how she’s being treated.”

Kris does want her daughters to learn from what happened, as well. In her interview, Kris talked about the show and the fact that Selma Blair will be playing her, and she thinks she is a great girl. David Schwimmer actually plays the part of Robert Kardashian, and Kris shared that Robert was a huge fan of David on Friends and used to watch him all the time. Kris even spent some time talking to David about how Robert was in his life, so he could get to know the real him.

People shared that Kris Jenner is revealing that Nicole Brown Simpson and O.J. Simpson were two of her best friends before this went down. Kris says that this show is actually opening up some old wounds for her. She went on to reveal that “this is going to introduce a new generation to this thing that took place that was so horrific. It could have been prevented.”

Kris Jenner shared that she met them at the young age of 17 and was very close to them. When talking about mourning Nicole, here is what Kris had to say.

“I went to bed one night and I woke up the next morning and my entire universe had changed. They were two of the best friends I ever had in my entire life. They were my family. O.J. was like my big brother. So I not only mourned the loss of Nicole, but I mourned the loss of O.J. and that relationship.”

Kris described Nicole as “funny, she was beautiful and loyal and passionate and the best mom I had ever met.” Jenner went on to explain that she heard the 911 calls from Nicole calling when she was being abused and saw the pictures and wonders how she missed this was going on. Now, Kris Jenner pays more attention and she feels like Nicole was fighting for her life every single day.

“Domestic violence is a real tragedy in our lives. [Nicole’s death] could have been prevented. I have five daughters so of course I want women everywhere, especially women of this new generation, to know the story. They need to realize that they have a voice and they need to tell somebody if someone has hurt them. And if Nicole’s legacy can be protecting other women, then that would be a really positive thing.”
