What It’s Like To Work With Johnny Depp, Lily Rose Attends First Premiere For Her Work

Actress Julianne Nicholson has starred in a host of box office successes alongside some of the hottest leading men in the business of Hollywood, including Benedict Cumberbatch and Ethan Hawke. Most recently, the Black Mass star relayed her excitement and discussed her experience while working with Johnny Depp in the gritty film Black Mass.

The beauty shared about what Johnny is really like behind the scenes but first gushed to In Style regarding how she first came to admire and crush on Depp back in the day.

“I have loved Johnny Depp since I was in high school and he was in 21 Jump Street. I thought he dropped from heaven. I just couldn’t believe it, his face was everything to me.”

It’s clear that this was a feeling that millions of girls around the world felt about the star when Johnny first found fame in 1987 on the hit TV show. Nicholson continued her praise of the talented actor and also shared about one of the most intense scenes she starred in for the hit film, during which Johnny’s character, mob boss Whitey Bulger, threatens Nicholson’s character in her bedroom.

“The scene is written so you have an idea of what is going to happen but you never really know until it’s playing out. You could feel like an energy and something there which is sort of thrilling. He’s so damn sexy that even in all that prosthetics I was still, like, hot for him. I could see him nowhere under there but I was still like, that’s Johnny Depp!”

The actress also shared a surprising fact about Depp, a man most well-known for his selection of quirky and eccentric roles on the big screen and probably most famous internationally for his character Captain Jack Sparrow in The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. That interesting and surprising bit of news about the star is that he’s actually a bit shy off screen. The publication relays Nicholson’s words about Depp’s demeanor and kindness on set.

“He is kind of shy actually, which I find so charming. He was so nice and generous.”

Depp, now 52, has been in the public eye since his 20’s and has been a part of a multitude of box office successes. The heartthrob is not only incredible on set, but has the ability to rock out with some of the best in the music industry, most recently playing alongside Marilyn Manson and late last year, Gene Simmons.

The talent is all in the family. Depp’s daughter, Lily Rose, attended her first premiere for the film she appears in opposite her famous father, Yoga Hosers. The 15-year-old daughter of Johnny and ex-partner Vanessa Paradis was in attendance at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday for the premiere of the film, which is directed by Kevin Smith.

Global News shares the words of Lily Rose Depp about her excitement over her first premiere.

“It was incredible. I mean, I think that, you know, anything that you get to work with like friends and family is amazing and so, yeah. It was really fun and I’ve never seen him in like a professional like, setting or whatever. So, that was really fun, but mostly just being with people that I’ve known for so long and even people that I met on set or whatever. We all just got along really well. So, it was a really good experience.”

With a father like Johnny Depp as a guide, Lily Rose should have no problem making a name for herself on the silver screen. The beauty has also done her share of modelling, following in the footsteps of her gorgeous mom, Vanessa.
