Anna Duggar Pens Update About How She Sustains Herself And Remains Supportive Of Josh Duggar

Anna Duggar has released a statement that is really a message within a message. The hidden message she included within her statement, was just half a Bible verse, subtly slipped into a paragraph, but it is really a clue to how this scandal ridden mother of four copes. In many ways it is meant to comfort all those who suffer, even though perhaps, in different ways than Mrs. Josh Duggar has suffered since the summer of 2015. Anna is offering readers and viewers an insight into her own powerful coping mechanism.

Anna has been a tremendous inspiration to loyal viewers of the 19 Kids and Counting reality TV show. Fans have witnessed her struggle with circumstances beyond her control. Anna Duggar has weathered a powerful storm in the past year, showing tremendous grace through her faith. There has been an outpouring of affection and compassion from fans toward Anna and her children. People are praying for her and standing up for her. Many of them see her as an example of what real Christianity looks like. She recently released a statement on The Duggar Family website in appreciation to all those who have shown concern for her.

“Many have asked how I am doing. So many have asked that its actually humbling and touching. 2015 was the most difficult year of my life.”

The Anna Duggar brand of gentle faith, has touched the hearts of so many. In her statement, she speaks more about how, despite her broken heart and crushed spirit, God has drawn near to her. His comforting spirit sustained her and made her stronger in her faith.

“Yet, amazingly I’ve found that in my own life crisis God has drawn near to me (“He’s near to the brokenhearted” Psalms 34:18) and my faith has been more precious to me than ever before.”

Anna only posts a small snippet of the verse she quoted, thinking that most of her fans know the rest. Perhaps, as a child raised in a strong Christian home, it is unfathomable to her that anyone would not know what Anna is trying to say by quoting this verse, but for the sake of clarity, here is the entire passage on Bible Gateway. Seeing the entire verse in context, helps us to understand what Anna Duggar is really saying.

There are many promises in this passage, that she is drawing strength from, but one clearly describes Anna. Psalms 34:5 says that the face of those who look to God is radiant, and never covered with shame. Anna Duggar reflects that kind of radiance and purity despite the shame the whole world seems to be dumping on her and the entire Duggar Family. There is such innocence in her that she remains radiant even under the camera’s watchful eye.

“Just recently I visited Josh. It was an important step on a long difficult road. I want to thank all of you for your prayers and your messages of hope. I can never express how your kindness and prayers have brought encouragement when I needed it most—outpacing the grief and discouragement at every turn.”

Anna and her husband Josh Duggar have committed to saving their marriage and keeping the family together, in spite of the awful scandal that continues to haunt them. Anna, in the spirit of Christ, will forgive Josh, and continue to speak good things and do great works, just as her favorite Bible passage for this situation prescribes. She focuses on the kindness of others and remains silent about those who have been unkind.

Many fans of the show find it difficult to understand how Anna Duggar can forgive Josh. They fully expected her to divorce him, but Anna is following her heart and her faith when she reinforces her commitment to Josh Duggar. It is obvious from the verse she picked that she believes God will deliver her and provide for her within this situation.
