‘Dater’s Handbook’: Watch Hallmark’s Romantic Comedy Movie About Finding Mr. Right, Starring Meghan Markle, Jonathan Scarfe
Dater’s Handbook is a new romantic comedy movie slated to air on the Hallmark Channel this weekend.
Hallmark Channel, the heart of romance, is gearing up for its “Countdown to Valentine’s Day.” Dedicated fans will be able to tune in for 16 romance flicks up until February 14. Dater’s Handbook, which is directed by James Head, is about a woman who desperately seeks the advice of a relationship expert so that she can stop dating the wrong guys. It is written by Jennifer Barrow and Rich Tabach, according to TV Tango. The film stars Meghan Markle as Cassandra Barber, Kristoffer Polaha as Robert, and Jonathan Scarfe as George.

Dater’s Handbook centers around the beautiful Cassandra, a single woman who has a hard time finding the right mate. Tired of dating all the wrong guys, Cassandra enlists the help of a popular dating expert (Dr. Susie) who gives her a copy of “The Dater’s Handbook.” Cassandra does everything she can to follow the guidelines in the book to a tee, even if it means sticking to a rigid checklist in order to compare which man might be right for her. And she has two great guys from which to choose. George is a dependable and reliable man who is successful, well educated, and has a lucrative bank account, And then there is Robert, a handsome, fun-loving guy who brings out the best in Cassandra, making her feel alive. Torn between what she should do and what she wants to do, Cassandra must decide between a man who looks good on paper versus the man who is stealing her heart.

Actress Meghan Markle
[Markle has appeared] in [General Hospital and] episodes of Century City, Cuts, Love, Inc., The War at Home, 90210, Knight Rider, Without a Trace, The Apostles, CSI: Miami, Castle, and The League before becoming a series regular in Suits as Rachel Zane. She has also appeared in a few movies including Get Him to the Greek [and] Remember Me.
Actor Kristoffer Polaha
After working in television for a several years, mostly in guest roles on such series as Angel, Tru Calling, and Roswell, Kristoffer Polaha scored quite the part as his first major role — the Reno, Nevada-born actor portrayed John F. Kennedy Jr. (no stretch, given the physical resemblance) in the warmly received 2003 telemovie America’s Prince: The John F. Kennedy Jr. Story.
Actor Jonathan Scarfe
Scarfe has appeared in nearly 40 movies playing roles as diverse as Jesus, Joseph Smith, and General George Custer and more than 150 hours of episodic television, including Grey’s Anatomy, ER, CSI: Miami, NYPD Blue, Raising the Bar, Perception, He is also a six-time Gemini award nominee (Canadian Emmy) and has won the award twice. Jon currently stars as a series regular on Ties That Bind.

There are also many books that offer advice on how to create the perfect online dating profile, how to spot a fake profile, and how to choose a partner based on the things you have in common. A book on how to avoid the pitfalls of dating would also be especially useful. Hallmark’s Dater’s Handbook was filmed in Canada and is produced by Front Street Pictures and Shatom Amigo Productions. Joey Plager and Harvey Khan are executive producers for the film.
