Kyle Richards Pays Tribute To Kim Richards’ Ex Monty Brinson

Kyle Richards has publicly reacted to the passing of her former brother-in-law. On Monday, Kyle posted a tribute to Monty Brinson, her sister Kim Richards’ ex-husband.

Kyle posted a collage of photos of Monty through the years. One photo shows Monty and Kim posing together at the wedding of their daughter, Brooke Brinson, at her aunt Kathy Hilton’s house in Beverly Hills. Another photo shows Monty escorting Brooke at her wedding, which was shown on Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Kyle also included a photo of herself with Monty.

Kyle wrote that Monty was the “kindest” and “gentlest soul” who inspired so many with his positive attitude during his cancer battle.

Kyle and Kim’s brother-in-law, Rick Hilton, announced Monty’s death on Sunday. Rick wrote on Instagram that Monty had a big heart and was loved by all who met him. Rick noted that Monty will be “sorely missed.”

Kathy’s daughter, Paris Hilton, posted a lengthy message in tribute to her uncle. She posted a collage of photos of Monty with her and her family. Some of the photos show Monty with Kim during their younger days and Monty at Brooke’s wedding. Paris wrote that her thoughts are with her cousin Brooke, aunt Kim and Monty’s other family members.

Brooke posted a photo of herself as a toddler kissing her father. Brooke called her father an “amazing man” and now her “guardian angel.”

One of Kyle’s daughters sent Brooke a message of support.

“alexiaumansky: Thinking of you ??”

Kyle Richards’ complicated sibling relationship with Kim Richards has been a central story line of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills since the very first season, which ended with Kim accusing Kyle of stealing their mother’s house from under her and Kyle threatening to end her financial support of Kim. In later seasons, the relationship between the two women fluctuated between good and non-existent.

By the end of the fifth season, things between the two sisters were especially bad. They stopped talking after filming the season. Later, on the Season 5 reunion show, Kyle accused Kim of not wanting to invite her to Brooke’s upcoming bigger wedding in Cabo. Kyle sobbed as she said that she loves Kim’s children like her own. The two also argued over how Kim’s dog bit Alexia. Kim dismissed Alexia’s injury while Kyle yelled that Alexia almost lost her finger.

Despite the women’s screaming match at the reunion and not talking outside of the show, Kyle did end up going to Brooke’s second wedding in Cabo in May 2015. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, photos and a video posted of the day shows Kyle celebrating alongside Kim. Monty, who had a very close and supportive relationship with Kim, was not able to attend due to his cancer battle. As Kyle explained in a blog post, the wedding in Cabo was actually Brooke’s “original” wedding plan. The wedding in Beverly Hills that viewers saw on Real Housewives was done so that Monty could have the chance to walk his daughter down the aisle.

It’s likely that Kyle Richards has checked up on Kim Richards personally upon learning of Monty’s death. While the current episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills show Kyle in stress over Kim and not having a relationship with her, the two have apparently repaired their relationship since filming. As The Inquisitr reported two weeks ago, Kim sent Kyle a touching message in celebration of her birthday. Kim told Kyle that she loves her, to which Kyle responded in kind.
