Winter Storm Jonas: How Are Celebs Faring In The Blizzard? Take A Look At How Much Fun Some Are Having In The Snow

The record-breaking blizzard of 2016, also known as Winter Storm Jonas, has brought quite a bit of havoc in its path. As much as three feet of snow has been dumped all along the eastern and Mid-Atlantic states, and millions of people are now without power. A travel ban had been in place and that means everyone had to stay put.

According to The Weather Channel, the end of the blizzard is in sight and now it is time to dig out. While some may be grumbling and groaning about the piles of snow, many celebrities have been tweeting and sending out photos on how they are coping during Winter Storm Jonas.

Kelly Ripa seemed to have a way to make the cold, snowy weekend a little bit hotter. The morning show host posted a photo of her actor hubby, Mark Consuelos, all decked out in his snow gear with a trusty shovel in his hand. It looks like she has put him to work to dig them out. After all, she does need to make it to the studio on Monday morning. Ripa had this to say about her sexy man.

“Cold blizzard hot @instasuelos ?? The most devilish snow angel.”

Another hottie, Hugh Jackman, made sure to bundle up as well. It’s a good thing because he got blasted with snowballs in a cool slo-mo video he posted of himself. You can see the 47-year-old actor having fun as he is fired upon with tons of snow flying around him. He looks like a true Wolverine.

Jessica Chastain took to the park to have a little fun with her adorable dog as they enjoyed the blustery day together. Not sure if the pooch had much fun, but he sure looked cute in the Instagram photo wearing a red winter outfit and black doggie shoes to keep those paws nice and toasty.

Who knew that Mariah Carey loved snow so much? Maybe she just loves to spoil her kids by having a second Christmas. The pop singer is seen in some spiffy Hello Kitty jammies and looking very relaxed since her recent engagement to James Packer. She was feeling very festive as she put up a decorated tree with the help of her daughter, Monroe, to celebrate the winter storm brewing. Carey also was shown waiting for the snow to dump on her rooftop.

You may not even recognize Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler in winter gear, but he certainly was making the most of it as seen in an interview with CNN. He was with his daughter, Mia, and he said that he was planning on hunkering down during Winter Storm Jonas.

Cheryl Crow posted a snowy photo outside with her two dogs in Nashville. She didn’t seem to mind Winter Storm Jonas blowing in. She captioned her picture with all of the things she loves about the snow day.

“I am loving this #snowday in #Nashville. Sledding, snowmen, snowball fights and lots of hot chocolate breaks! I hope you’re staying warm and enjoying this beautiful day.”

Reality star Kate Gosselin sounds like she has had enough of winter. She posted an interesting pic of what she saw when she opened her front door. You have to wonder how she is faring with being totally snowed in with her kids.

“I think we are literally snowed in… Considering the wall of snow I found when I opened my front door… #EnoughNow”

Of course, how can you not have fun in Winter Storm Jonas when it is named after you? Eldest Jobro Kevin Jonas shared some sweet moments with his adorable almost 2-year-old daughter, Alena Rose. Daddy took her sledding and it almost looks like he is having more fun than she is. Alena made sure to keep her little hands inside the sled as her mom, Danielle Jonas, explained that the newest member of the family is not too keen on that wet, cold stuff. She posted the photo on her Instagram with this caption.

“Snow!! Alena lasted 10 minutes. Just like in the sand doesn’t want to touch it hehehe.”

It looks like the celebrities are faring just fine as Winter Storm Jonas is winding down. It has been fun to see their photos, as well as all of those who had to hunker down this weekend, in the beautiful winter setting.
