We are utilizing every resource available to ensure these inmates are brought back into custody as quickly as possible. As Sheriff, my utmost concern and primary responsibility is the safety of each Orange County resident. I take this situation very seriously and the men and woman of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department will not rest until all three men are captured.

The photos provided by the Sheriff’s Office show how Nayeri, Tieu, and Duong used linens and rappelled down from the roof of the jail to escape. Certain portions of the property aren’t covered by security cameras. It is believed that the men planned their escape for weeks, and the police, the U.S. Marshals and the FBI are hoping to put the dangerous men back behind bars.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public to follow the social media tag #ocjailescape for the latest updates. They also provided the exterior image of the jail, and more details about when the jail was built.

Photos of a cut steel screen were also provided.

The security footage provided is very grainy.

The jail escapees were then able to utilize a tunnel in order to make their escape.
