Tom Cruise Returns to Work After Divorce Settlement

Tom Cruise isn’t leaving any time to sulk about the finalizing of his divorce settlement with soon-to-be ex-wife Katie Holmes. In fact, Cruise has reportedly returned back to his top priority, which is work.

After the actor reached a divorce settlement on Monday, it is said that Cruise returned to the set of Oblivion in Mammoth Lakes. Following the settlement, the star flew from Los Angeles to a tiny airport near the shooting location. Previously, Oblivion was being shot in Iceland, which was where Tom Cruise was when he was dumbstruck by the news that his wife Katie Holmes filed for divorce in New York.

Shooting is expected to expand through the whole week in the mountains, which will probably be a good opportunity for Cruise to get away from the media storm that has been pouring down on his family since Holmes filed for divorce nearly two weeks ago.

In the divorce settlement it is said that Holmes will have primary and sole custody of daughter Suri, 6, who she shared with Cruise. In addition, Tom will only get supervised visits with Holmes’s new security team in toe. It is also said that after re-entering into the Catholic religion Suri won’t have anything to do with Scientology, the religion famously touted by Cruise.

The rushed settlement, which took a bundle of lawyers to get through on both parties, is said to be finished. According to Holmes’s lawyers, “The case has been settled and the agreement has been signed.”

As far as Cruise talking publicly about the divorce he hasn’t yet, but did release a joint statement with Katie Holmes, saying, “We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri’s best interests. We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other’s commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other’s roles as parents.”
