‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Star Jamie Dornan Mobbed On The Set Of ‘The Fall,’ Plus New Behind-The-Scenes Photos

Given his rise to stardom after playing in Fifty Shades of Grey, it is no surprise that fans give Jamie Dornan plenty of attention. However, that attention reached new heights after the Fifty Shades Darker star was recently mobbed by a group of fans on the set of The Fall.

According to Movie News Guide, Dornan is staying in East Belfast while production of The Fall continues throughout the city. Apparently, a crowd of onlookers, mainly women, showed up at one of the shooting locations for the show in order to get a look at Dornan. In return, Dornan was gracious enough to talk to a few fans and show them his appreciation for their support.

In speaking with Belfast Live, one fan named Gary Ross, described the scene that unfolded after Dornan arrived on set. “The Orangefield site is getting really busy with fans now…But Jamie is always kind and patient,” he stated. “He understands he has fans and he treats us very nicely, always taking the time to come and say hello and, in turn, he gets brilliant support.”

Meanwhile, The Fall is currently filming for its third season. With that in mind, a behind the scenes image was recently leaked that might offer fans a clue at what unfolds in the new season. The image, which was posted to Twitter by Gillian Anderson, shows Dornan sitting down with his legs propped up on a table.

Although the image looks innocent enough, it might reveal a lot about Dornan’s character, Paul Spector. According to Carter Matt, many fans had speculated that Spector would die in the opening episode of the new season. Given Dornan’s ongoing presence on set and the new photo, it does not look like his character is set to die anytime soon.

Unfortunately, the show’s future might also be in question. Although the series has enjoyed a lot of success in its first two seasons, there are reports that the end of the road might be in sight. With both Anderson and Dornan working on multiple projects at the present time, this bit of news should not impact either of their careers.

For her part, Anderson is currently gearing up for the reboot of the X-Files, which is a major switch up from her role as a detective in The Fall. As far as Dornan is concerned, the popular actor is getting ready for the start of production of Fifty Shades Darker.

Speaking of Fifty Shades Darker, Melty is reporting that the film still faces a number of obstacles before it can even start filming, and Dornan’s recent mobbing is not going to help matters.

For starters, the film still has a number of important roles to cast. This includes the parts of Mrs. Robinson, Leila Williams, and Jack Hyde. Considering the importance of these characters, production will not likely start until producers cast these roles.

At the same time, it is not clear how Dornan’s popularity will impact the production schedule. In fact, if Dornan is getting this level of attention for his role on The Fall, there is no telling how many fans will show up when filming begins in Vancouver for Fifty Shades Darker.

Taken together, it will be interesting to see if Fifty Shades Darker is able to start production on time. Either way, Dornan is not going to have a lot of downtime between his work on The Fall and Fifty Shades Darker.

With both The Fall and Fifty Shades Darker still a work in progress, it will be a while before fans catch a glimpse of Dornan in action. For his part in The Fall, fans can expect the third season to air sometime in 2016, while Fifty Shades Darker is not scheduled to be released until February of 2017.
