Miranda Lambert Calls Anderson East Her ‘Boyfriend’ While Wearing Cute Keepsake

Miranda Lambert wants the world to know that country soul singer Anderson East is still a member of her “Southern Family.” The “Little Red Wagon” singer seemingly misses snuggling with the new man in her life, but at least Anderson left Miranda something warm to remember him by while he’s busy touring the U.K.

According to Hollywood Life, Miranda Lambert referred to Anderson East as her “boyfriend” for the first time by sneaking the word into a hashtag on a rather adorable Instagram post. In the January 22 photo below, Miranda and two of her pet pooches are keeping their noggins warm by wearing matching red and white headgear.

“Beanies Baby! #cher #deltadawn #boyfriendsbamabeanie #thesnuggleisreal #Cherhateshats,” Miranda Lambert captioned the photo of her pets looking less than thrilled with being out in the Nashville snow.

As you can see, Miranda Lambert casually mentioned that she’s wearing an Alabama Crimson Tide beanie that belongs to her boyfriend. She’s presumably talking about Anderson East, who is an Alabama native. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Texas girl Miranda recently revealed that she and Anderson East root for different college football teams by regramming the adorable video below that shows a pair of internet-famous piggies, Priscilla and Poppleton, dressed up like Alabama cheerleaders and trying to entertain a crowd of curious cows. Miranda used her hashtags to inform her Instagram followers that she still supports the Texas Longhorns, but it looks like she’s starting to warm up to her boyfriend’s favorite team by using their gear to keep her head warm.

It’s possible that Miranda Lambert’s more recent wintry Instagram post was a response to something that Anderson East tweeted a few hours earlier. According to the singer’s website, he’s currently in Glasgow, but he’s been thinking about Nashville. He and Miranda both have homes in Music City, which makes it easy for the country singers to spend time together whenever they aren’t busy touring, recording, or fulfilling other obligations.

Perhaps Miranda Lambert shared her Instagram post to show him that his hunch was right.

Life & Style reports that Miranda and Anderson first met while working on the “Southern Family” compilation album together, and they kept their relationship under wraps for a while before deciding that they were serious enough to go public. According to People, Miranda Lambert first proved that she and Anderson East are an item by sharing an Instagram photo that’s somewhat similar to the wintry picture above. However, instead of snuggling up with her pups to keep them warm, Miranda is cuddling up with Anderson underneath a blanket in the cute picture.

“The snuggle is real,” Miranda captioned the January 2 photo.

Us Weekly reports that the photo above was taken at a ski resort in Aspen, Colorado, which is where Miranda and Anderson rang in the New Year together. Unfortunately, they had to cut their romantic winter getaway short when Anderson broke his collarbone during a trip down the slopes. Shortly after the accident, Miranda was spotted around Anderson’s hometown, so it’s possible that she was there to nurse her boyfriend back to health.

Because of Anderson’s accident, Miranda Lambert’s 2016 got off to a slightly bumpy start. However, she’s probably pretty certain that this year can’t be as bad as the last one. According to Life & Style, Miranda mentioned her terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year during a recent performance at the City Winery in Nashville. She got emotional right before belting out a tune written by her guitarist, Scotty Wray, and it’s possible that her divorce from Blake Shelton had something to do with her talk about tears.

“So this song, I don’t know if I can do it without crying,” Miranda told the crowd. “Scotty Wray has been with me since I was 17… We have been through everything together, good and bad.”

“We both went through a really sh—y 2015 and we have the tattoos to prove it. He wrote a song a long time ago called ‘Scars’… I never felt like I could sing it until now.”

After witnessing that sad moment, Miranda Lambert’s fans were probably happy to see that the singer looking happy in her Instagram photos with her furry friends. However, Miranda is going to have to get used to thinking about her heartbreaking divorce from Blake Shelton whenever she performs sad songs. As Taste of Country reports, Miranda Lambert’s Keeper of the Flame tour will kick off in March, and probably more than a few of her songs will make her think of her split. Perhaps Miranda needs to pen a few songs about snuggling to comfort herself with after she sings about her scars.
