New Daidalos Nest, Space Trooper Costumes Available Now in Nexon’s ‘Dragon Nest’

Players in the action-packed free-to-play RPG Dragon Nest have more to enjoy than ever before. The instanced-based title from Nexon recently updated with several new features including a new nest, new items in the Dragon Vault store, and much more. Heroes can log in now to enjoy new max level activities, new functions for mercenaries, and even guild changes.

Max level players in Dragon Nest, those at level 90, have quite a few features to appreciate with the latest update. The new Daidalos Nest will test players’ skill against an assortment of toy monsters created by the architect Daidalos. Five challenging bosses await players brave enough to conquer the nest for a chance to loot level 90 weapons, armor, Dragon Gems, enchantments, and more.

According to the official preview of the Daidalos Nest, players will encounter a poochum-controlled tank named PZ-2 and a clockwork polar bear named The Amazing Polazzo in the first two stages of the nest. In the third and fourth stages, players will battle a chilly foe named Frozen Fairy Sorrow and Dark Tentellus; an oil-spraying beast. Finally, the last stage of the nest pits players against Mad Daidalos himself. Watch out for when the floor turns to lava when fighting the final boss of this area in Dragon Nest.

Players at level 90 can also benefit from a new Dragon Gem Enhancement system and the new Hero System according to the official patch notes. The former lets players take max level Dragon Gems and improve them with pieces from broken-down Dragon Gems. The system is similar to the way weapons and armors can be upgraded in Dragon Nest, for example. The latter lets max level players continue to earn Hero Experience to level an additional 50 times. Statistics and damage increase with each level, and Hero levels are shared across a player’s account.

Of course, the update to Dragon Nest did more than add features for max level players. A number of fixes, changes, and even a few features will affect players of all levels. Most notably, Mercenaries in Dragon Nest can now help a player without going into combat with them. Previously, Mercenaries could only level when registered to fight alongside a player. A Mercenary only appears in a dungeon when the party is small enough which limited their ability to level. In the latest update, a new way to level Mercenaries was added.

The Mercenary Exploration System lets players send three Mercenaries out at time to complete special missions. Sending Mercenaries out that a player owns is free; however, other Mercenaries can be rented for a gold fee to complete missions as well. Upon their successful return, Mercenaries will bring back a container that can hold a number of beneficial items. Mercenaries also earn experience for their missions, giving players another way to level up a Mercenary in addition to combat.

Dragon Nest players can also loot new items like the spaceship mount, SS Ideal MK-0, from the updated loot in Dragon Eggs. A new Cloud Sheep spirit is also included in Dragon Eggs now. Not to mention, new Blinding Constellation Wings, a Blinding Constellation Tail, and the Blinding Constellation Decal are also potential loot now in the Dragon Eggs. Players can also pick up new Space Trooper costumes from the in-game Dragon Vault store.

Players can also earn a few more R-coins before the vendor is permanently removed in February. Players that are able to enter and defeat the Daidalos Nest on Hardcore difficultly within 30 minutes will be rewarded 50 R-coins. The removal of the R-coin shop is scheduled for February 11 and the Daidalos Nest R-coin event will end on February 6. Players can earn a few R-coins for simply logging in during the month of January, too.
