The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that big drama is ahead in Genoa City, including the beginning of the audience finding out Dr. Anderson’s (Elizabeth Bogush) true motives and identity. Soap Opera Digest explained that Dr. Anderson’s motives and her true identity would come out in the coming weeks as the soap opera phases into February sweeps. Finally, Y&R fans will know, once and for all, if Dr. Anderson is Sandra Allen and why she went after Sage (Kelly Sullivan) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) Newman, and what she hopes to get out of her (silly) revenge plans.
Ever since Dr. Anderson showed up when Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) checked herself in at Fairview, the Young and the Restless audience has stated that there is something off about the shady doctor. Her first order of business was to get rid of Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) by facilitating her escape (release) from Fairview in an attempt to keep her from Sharon. Dr. Anderson did not want Patty telling Sharon she wasn’t (really) pregnant because she needed Sharon to believe in accepting Sage’s child as hers.
The Young and the Restless spoilers posted in CBS Soaps in Depth previewed that Nick and Sage decide to work together to figure out why Dr. Anderson is acting so strangely. Sage doesn’t trust her, and she is worried about Sharon’s safety around her — both agreed they must get to the bottom of it for Sully and Faith’s (Alyvia Alyn Lin) sake. The plan is for Nick to get close to the shrink and try to get her to reveal why she is so fixated on the Newman family. Sage is worried about the plan and feels that Dr. Anderson is capable of anything, and he worries about the shady doctor doing something terrible to her or Nick. Nick tells her he will protect her, and Sage reluctantly agreed to proceed with the plan.
The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Dr. Anderson hints to Sharon that Sage is obsessed with Sully, and it would be best to keep him away from her so she doesn’t endanger Sully. Sharon panics after the shady doctor implies that Sage would hurt or take Sully from her. Sharon wants to do whatever she needs to do to keep Sully safe. However, deep down, she has doubts that Sage would ever hurt her son and wonders if Dr. Anderson is reading the situation correctly.
Next week, The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Sharon will see Dr. Anderson and ask to be placed back on her original bipolar medicine dosage after feeling stressed that new husband, Dylan McAvoy(Steve Burton), accepted the new job as Genoa City detective. According to the Y&R spoilers, Dr. Anderson tells Sharon that she doesn’t need an increase in her medicine. In fact, the shrink tells her she doesn’t need bipolar medication at all. Dr. Anderson convinces Sharon to go off all psychiatric medication and says Sharon is “cured.” Dylan starts to worry that Dr. Anderson’s mental health advice may not be wise, especially after she recommends Sharon stop her medication that seems to be working so well for her, according to The Young and the Restless spoilers.
Nick worries that digging into Dr. Anderson’s past could end badly for Sharon, and he struggles with continuing the operation for fear it could send Sharon in a tailspin, according to Soap Opera Digest. Nick and Sage worry that Dr. A is capable of anything, and bringing up a past life she kept hidden so well could be dangerous. They worry they could be placing Sharon in the hands of a revenge-seeking animal, they and try to develop a plan to keep her safe and get to the bottom of her real identity and intentions.
Steve Burton noted that Young and the Restless fans shouldn’t worry about Dylan leaving Sharon over Sully’s aftermath. Steve explained that Dylan understands that Sharon was not at fault for the baby switch, and she is mentally ill, reported Soap Opera Digest. It looks like the big storyline of February sweeps will be Dr. Anderson and Sully’s true identity reveal.
The Young and the Restless is stepping up the action as the move into February Sweep month. Will Nick and Sage figure out that Dr. Anderson is in Genoa City to seek revenge on him?
