Miranda Lambert Performs Sad Song ‘Scars’ After Rough Year [Video]
Miranda Lambert hasn’t came out with new music in a while, but fans knew that some of her divorce from Blake Shelton would make it into her next album. After such a rough year, it is obvious that a songwriter like Miranda will write about it. Hollywood Life shared that Miranda Lambert actually performed a new song, but this is not one that she wrote herself. Regardless, the song is a great fit for what Miranda has been through with her divorce from Blake Shelton.

Miranda shared that her bandmate Scotty Wray wrote the song 16 years ago and she has never been in a place where she would sing it. Miranda has always been a fan of the song though. They talked about it and decided that it was time for her to sing the song “Scars.” Miranda Lambert says that after 2015, she is now damaged enough to do this song. Here is what Miranda shared.
“I have been in love with it for that long. He said, ‘Well I’ve been waiting for you to sing this for a long time,’ and I said, ‘I was never damaged enough to sing a song called ‘Scars.’ It’s something you have to sell and really feel and really live and go through s*** to basically execute a song like that. But every time he sings it…I’ve cried for the last 15 years. So I’m going to try it tonight myself.”
Miranda Lambert said this is one of her favorite songs, but it is not on her album yet. She is hoping that someday she could end up putting this out on an album. The lyrics to this song show some about how bad Miranda Lambert’s 2015 was. Here are a few of the lyrics from the song Miranda performed.

Miranda Lambert has been through a lot over the past year, but she has now moved on with a new boyfriend, Anderson East, and things seem to be looking up for her. Things seem to be going great with Anderson East, and Blake Shelton seems happy with new girlfriend Gwen Stefani. These two met on The Voice and hit it off really well while they were both going through a divorce.
People shared that this all went down during Miranda Lambert’s unplugged performance in Nashville. It was held at City Winery, and Ashley Monroe and songwriters Nicolle Galyon and Shane McAnally were all there with her performing as well. It was a great performance all night long and the fans seemed to love it.
