Gwen Stefani Uses Emotional Evolution For Fashion Revolution: Blake Shelton Influences Gwen’s & Sons’ Style

Gwen Stefani has become known almost as much for her fabulous fashionista style as her musical talent. Glamorous whether she’s coaching on The Voice and enjoying flirty fun with her new boyfriend Blake Shelton, performing on stage, or shopping with her sons, Gwen has had the courage to change her style as she evolves, revealed E! News.

Since Stefani began her musical career in the 1990s, she has expanded into fashion lines that includes eyewear with her brands L.A.M.B. and GX by Gwen Stefani. Reflecting on the past 10 years, the 46-year-old mom of three sons revealed that her music and style sense have evolved together.

“The biggest change [is that] before Kingston was born, I was in the middle of the Love. Angel. Music. Baby. album—that was an amazing style period. Incredible photographers, and we made a lot of clothes and costumes,” mused Stefani.

But, now, The Voice coach is freeing herself to share her raw emotions in music as well as in fashion.

“I feel like this record is not a thematic record like that one was. This is a lot more emotional record. More about emotion and truth and honesty. That’s where am at: I’m at an emotional place right now,” admitted Gwen.

In 2015, Stefani split with Gavin Rossdale after she learned that he had cheated on him. But, following that heartbreak, she found a new love in Blake Shelton.

For those hoping for some fashion tips from the pop star, however, forget about it. Instead, she advises fans to choose attire that makes them happy.

“I’m not good at style tips. I hate rules and trends. I hate giving advice. I don’t get that. Whatever makes you feel good!”

One suggestion that she does have, however, is to use eyewear to showcase her personality. And for the stunning girlfriend of Shelton, it’s all about using herself as the main model to showcase her preferences.

“Glasses are one of my favorite accessories because they say so much about your personality,” pointed out Stefani. “I like hip-hop influences and I love retro sunglasses. It’s all in there…I designed the glasses using myself as the model. I would fix them to make everything perfect—little details like a grommet on the side or where the logo goes. It’s a lot of options and a lot of work.”

Blake Shelton Influences His Rocker Girlfriend’s Evolving Style

Has Blake influenced Gwen’s evolution? In some ways, Shelton has caused a style revolution not just for Stefani but also for her three sons, reported MSN.

Blake, 39, recently joined his lovebird partner to take the little boys to view Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And Gwen’s sons made it clear that someone is helping them dress to resemble Shelton. Kingston Rossdale, who worn a hat and athletic outfit like blake sometimes sports, is the oldest at 9. His younger brother Zuma, who is 7, looked jaunty in camouflage-patterned leggings and a long-sleeved camo-print shirt that also resembled attire chosen by Blake, who’s known for being a fan of hunting. As for little Apollo, who is almost 2-years-old, he looked like a mini Shelton in tiny cowboy boots and camo-print.

Gwen has also shown that Blake inspires her own clothes choices, putting on camouflage clothes when she visited Shelton in Oklahoma, and then wearing blue jeans and a jacket hued army-green for the movie excursion with her boys and Blake.

And, that’s not all. As the Inquisitr reported, while she wore lots of red lipstick to please Gavin Rossdale, Stefani recently has been imitating Miranda Lambert’s more natural look and toning down her makeup for Shelton.

“I like to make my husband like me more. And he likes it when I’m wearing makeup,” she revealed prior to splitting from Gavin and hooking up with Blake.

Glamour Girl Gwen Glitters

As for how long Stefani has been into fashion and makeup, she admitted her passion began early to Vogue.

“I just always was that girl who was into style and makeup. I can remember getting into high school and getting into music and that’s probably when it really started,” shared Gwen.

In addition, Stefani gives credit to her “quite fashionable” mother, as well as the joy of shopping in thrift stores. Perhaps the ultimate discovery when it comes to her fashion evolution was one of the most famous glamour girls of the world, Marilyn Monroe, and the films made by Monroe.

“My mom was quite fashionable,” mused Gwen. “I got really into thrift store shopping, really discovered Marilyn Monroe and James Dean and started watching every single old movie. It’s just so glamorous. That’s where it started for me.”
