Stassi Schroeder Is Returning To ‘Vanderpump Rules’ As Jax Taylor Gets Arrested — And Fired?

Stassi Schroeder announced during a May, 2015, episode of her podcast, Straight Up With Stassi, that she had quit Vanderpump Rules after filming the Season 3 reunion in early 2015. However, as fans have seen in a recent preview of the second half of the season, Stassi Schroeder has since changed her mind.

On January 16, Fashion & Style provided a sneak peek into the upcoming episodes, revealing Stassi Schroeder’s return would come around the same time her ex-boyfriend, Jax Taylor, got arrested.

“I want to f**king kill him,” Lisa Vanderpump said of Taylor after learning of his arrest. Then, after coming face to face with Taylor, she added, “Don’t come into work ever again.”

As the mid-season trailer continued, Stassi Schroeder was seen telling a friend she was having to swallow her pride before reuniting with her co-stars, including her former best friend, Katie Maloney, and her former boss, Vanderpump.

“Swallowing my pride is the worst,” Stassi Schroeder explained.

Although Stassi Schroeder is quickly put in her place by Vanderpump after telling her she “hates her,” it was Stassi Schroeder’s conversation with Maloney that was even more uncomfortable. After cutting out Maloney as a friend during Season 3 due to Maloney’s friendship with Scheana Marie Shay, who Stassi Schroeder didn’t like, she reunites with Maloney in hopes of rekindling their friendship.

However, while Stassi Schroeder admits she feels bad about “cutting [Katie] out so quickly,” Maloney may not be ready to move on.

“Now you’re back from the dead?” Maloney questions Stassi Schroeder. “It’s too little too late.”

While Stassi Schroeder claimed to have felt betrayed by Maloney’s relationship with Shay, it was quite shocking to most to see the reality star end their year-long friendship, especially over something that shouldn’t have impacted their relationship at all. So, understandably, Maloney isn’t quick to take her back.

It should also be noted that while Stassi Schroeder refused to be friends with Maloney because of her friends with Shay, she has opted to have a close relationship with Kristen Doute, who once slept with Stassi Schroeder’s ex-boyfriend, Jax Taylor.

As for why Stassi Schroeder changed her mind about the show after trashing it in the press, Tom Sandoval has his doubts.

“I can’t trust anything [Stassi Schroeder] says. Everything she does comes across as selfish and ‘all about me,’ and I feel like people are just going to sort of see that [this season],” Sandoval explained to Reality Tea in November. “I can’t trust any of her motives. I mean, she could’ve texted Katie so many times! But she only did it when she was having problems with her boyfriend, or knew there was a possibility to make money or get her name out there.”

While Stassi Schroeder will soon return to the show, she will not be featured in a full-time role. Instead, the podcast host and fashion blogger will be seen only as a guest star, as she was during Season 3. After Season 2, Stassi Schroeder took on a demoted role due to her being on the outs with the majority of her co-stars, much like what happened with Brandi Glanville on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

For more of Stassi Schroeder and her co-stars, tune into Vanderpump Rules Season 4, airing on Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo. At this point, it does not look like her boyfriend, Patrick Meagher, will be featured on the show.
