Khloe Kardashian Reveals Surprising Health Update About Lamar Odom, Road To Recovery

Khloe Kardashian is still standing as a pillar of support for Lamar Odom as he fights to recover from the biggest health scare of his life. Although the former NBA star is projected to have a relatively long road to recovery, he seems to be progressing quite well. Now, Khloe Kardashian has divulged updated information about Lamar’s health, according to Life & Style.

On Friday, January 15, Khloe appeared on Live! With Kelly and Michael where she admitted how disconcerting Lamar’s health scare was shortly after he’d overdosed. Since Lamar suffered a number of strokes, organ failure, and cognitive brain damage, many news outlets raised questions about whether or not he would survive the life-threatening ordeal. Luckily, he has. In fact, Khloe Kardashian revealed he’s actually walking again.

“It’s such a relief. It was terrifying and scary. No one knew what was going to happen. And what’s crazy is because he’s an athlete, I really think having so many years of working out every single day — he wasn’t even walking three weeks ago, and now he’s walking.”

Khloe Kardashian went on to elaborate about the heart-warming experience. Apparently, Lamar walked out of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center the day he was discharged. Although he was transferred to a rehabilitation center near Khloe’s home, being able to walk out of the hospital was quite an incredible feat.

“We were able to leave the hospital — he was able to walk out of the hospital,” she added. “And it was such a great thing. You get strolled on in there, he didn’t really even know where he was, and he [was] able to walk out on his own. So I’m happy for him and how he’s trying, and he’s really making great strides. And that’s a testament to his own will and desire to get better.”

Back in December, many news outlets began reporting about Lamar Odom’s discharge, but initially, no one actually knew where he’d end up. Several rumors began circulating about whether Lamar would be staying with Khloe Kardashian, but an insider insisted Khloe had no plans of letting Lamar stay with her. Then, another report was released refuting those claims. Even though that second insider claimed Lamar would be moving in with Khloe Kardashian and her brother, Rob, both reports turned out to be false.

Khloe has made it clear that she is adamant about moving on. In fact, she revealed cutting her hair was also part of her fresh start. “I cut all my hair off because I was in the hospital ad I just felt like I needed — like once I got out of there for a minute, I was like, ‘I need to get rid of this negativity.'”

Although Khloe Kardashian is still supporting Lamar, she also touched on a number of other aspects about their estranged relationship that many fans were unaware of. Back in November, many social media users took to Twitter criticizing Khloe for dating someone else in the wake of Lamar’s health scare. So, she’s been quite vocal about Lamar’s addictions and indiscretions that led to the downfall of their marriage. Khloe also revealed Lamar had been having affairs with other women throughout their marriage.

Despite Lamar Odom’s highly publicized affairs, which were reported after he separated from Khloe Kardashian, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star told Howard Stern there were numerous affairs that actually occurred during the time they were still together, according to Us Weekly. “Lamar was so great at making me feel like I was the only one and I was this princess, so I never speculated about his cheating,” she told Stern.

Although Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have delayed their divorce, she has made it clear that they will move forward with the proceedings when his health gets better. However, there is no definitive date as of yet.
