Drake Ignores Meek Mill’s ‘4/4’ EP Diss, But Will He Drop ‘3 Peat’ Ahead Of ‘Views From The 6’?

Drake may be keeping quiet regarding the attention surrounding his ongoing feud with Meek Mill after the Philly rapper released a new diss track via his 4/4 EP last night, but does the resurrection of Drake and Meek’s feud mean that fans will finally get to hear Drake’s third Meek Mill diss track, “3 Peat”?

Meek Mill surprised fans with the release of his 4/4 EP on Saturday, which features four brand new songs including the rumored “I’m The Plug”-referenced Drake track titled, “I’m Da Plug Freestyle.”

In the track, Meek Mill continues to blast Drake with ghostwriting accusations while simultaneously trashing Drake’s tracks “Jumpman,” “Started From the Bottom,” and “Back To Back.”

“Jumpman, Jumpman, Jumpman / Ain’t nobody tell ’em this ain’t what they want, man / You ain’t really write it, I’m like, ‘Who’s your stuntman?'”

Given the abrupt release of Meek Mill’s new EP, which dropped hours before Drake was rumored to debut new music via OVO Sound Radio on Apple Music, rumors began circulating that Drake may release his previously rumored Meek Mill diss track, “3 Peat,” during a new episode of the radio show.

The anticipation for a response from Drake only continued to grow after OVO Sound Radio sent out a tweet declaring that the live broadcast was being pushed back one hour because “the team is putting the finishing touches on the 1st episode of the year,” noting, “new music inbound.”

Despite fans’ hopes of Drake dropping a new Meek Mill diss track or announcement regarding his upcoming Views From The 6 album during the broadcast, Drake neglected to acknowledge any of the attention surrounding Meek’s new release.

With the January 16 release date for Views having proved false and no word from Drake regarding the arrival of his new album, fans are now holding out hope that Drake will finally drop his previously teased “3 Peat” diss track in response to Meek’s “I’m Da Plug Freestyle” claims.

Drake debuted his third Meek Mill diss during the closing night of his annual OVO Festival in Toronto in August, warning Meek Mill against further escalating their feud that began on Twitter last summer.

According to Mic, Drake’s “3 Peat” includes lyrics, “Dealing with these n****s man it take a lot / Been saying f*** a chaser when we taking shots / Look man, I said you don’t want that threepeat / Got you acting like a b**** cause you ain’t get the retweet.”

While fans have been begging Drake to release his third Meek Mill diss for months, an alleged source close to Drake previously told Urban Islandz that Drake doesn’t feel the need to further acknowledge his beef with Meek.

“After a point you realize that it’s not even worth is so at this moment that song is in the archive,” the source explains of the song.

“I don’t know if it will ever be released, but I don’t see him dropping that joint anytime soon,” the source continues, “It’s very dope, I can confidently say that it would end Meek for good.”

“There would be no coming back if this track had gotten out,” the source concludes.

While Drake has yet to confirm whether or not another Meek Mill diss track will appear on Views From The 6, Billboard previously spoke to a source close to Drake who admitted that the Toronto rapper is taking “a lot of fuel” from his beef with Mill to help inspire the new album.

Do you think Drake will drop “3 Peat” in response to Meek Mill, or will he ignore the rapper’s claims?
