Nick Carter Arrested As He Prepares For Fatherhood

Nick Carter was once a member of the Backstreet Boys and since those boyband days, he has kept himself busy.

Unfortunately, Nick Carter has also gotten himself arrested. TMZ reports that Carter was at the Hog’s Breath Saloon in Key West, Florida on Wednesday night when he got into some sort of fight inside the bar.

People also reports that Nick Carter and his friend Michael Papayans were refused service by the bartender and asked to leave the bar a number of times. According to witnesses, when the men left the bar, Carter and Papayans became violent. Papayans head-butted an employee of the bar and Nick Carter grabbed the bouncer by the throat. According to police, the entire incident was captured by a security camera.

CNN has also reported on Nick Carter’s arrest. The charge against Carter is one count of misdemeanor battery. He was still in jail as of Thursday afternoon and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office announced that his bail was set at $1,500.

According to Vintage Vinyl News, Nick Carter has since bailed himself out of jail. On his way out of the jail, he made it sound to the press as if what actually happened Wednesday night was very different from what has been reported. When asked if he choked the bouncer, Carter did not say, but responded that he was just trying to have some down time.

“You know, I’m just a guy who is trying to enjoy some vacation time down here in Key West and the truth will come out.”

Papayans reportedly told police that he didn’t do anything and was just trying to stop Nick Carter.

“I did not do anything. I was trying to get my friend to stop and they tackled me like they were f***ing Navy SEALs or something.”

This behavior comes at, perhaps, the worst time in Nick Carter’s life, considering he is about to become a father. Carter and his wife, Lauren Kitt, announced the pregnancy in November and The Indian Express reports that Carter feels calm and ready to be a father.

Nick Carter also expressed how cool his wife is about the whole situation.

“You know the thing with my wife is that she is super cool. Things are not over the top and changing, it is all gradual and comfortable. You know people are saying to me that my life is going to change, trust me. When it comes to the life I have [Lauren] is making the process really amazing and comfortable.”

Nick Carter has also said that he is glad to have time to prepare for his baby’s arrival.

“It’s cool to have some time to prepare. I’ve really been thinking about living in the moment and enjoying every day that I have with my wife. I’m enjoying the process, because I’ve heard that your life will change and your priorities will change and that’s great. So we are enjoying the time we have right now.”

Apparently, the pregnancy is going smoothly, as Carter recently posted on Twitter that pregnancy is not as difficult as people say.

Yet, somehow, it doesn’t seem like time in jail is a good way to prepare for the arrival of a baby. Still, if he can get past this incident, he has some time before his child comes into this world. He has quite a bit to reflect on and much to share with his child, especially since, as reported by PPCorn, he joined The Backstreet Boys when he was just 12-years-old.
