Perrie Edwards ‘Happier’ Without Zayn Malik As She ‘Finds Herself’
Perrie Edwards revealed that she “couldn’t be happier” these days after her split from Zayn Malik. That’s because the British pop star is focused on herself and her girl group, Little Mix.
Speaking of the band, Perrie Edwards has recently celebrated Little Mix’s BRIT Awards nomination in the most unique way possible. She took to Instagram to share a slow motion clip of herself flipping her hair back in the ocean. Edwards shared the sexy video after hearing the news that her group was nominated for two awards and are scheduled to perform at the awards show this year.
“How I feel right now knowing that we’re performing at the @brits awards, and nominated for TWO AWARDS! I couldn’t be happier and I couldn’t thank our incredible fans enough! You make us girls so happy, I love my girls more than anything in the world and we promise to give our all in this performance!”
According to a report via The Mirror, the blonde beauty looked nearly naked in the video, but it’s obvious that she was wearing a bikini top in a neutral shade.
It’s the first time that Little Mix has been nominated for a BRIT Award, according to the U.K.’s OK! Magazine. Perrie and her bandmates Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirwall, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock have been nominated for Best Video and British Single for their hit song “Black Magic.” Perrie has also been enjoying her single life by traveling around the world. She has shared numerous bikini photos with her 3.2 million Instagram followers.
She shared this sizzling photo of herself wearing a white off-shoulder bikini top and matching bottoms, along with the cute caption, “Not quite Baywatch.”
The singer has been traveling around the world to “find herself” while her ex-fiancé Zayn Malik has been showing off his relationship with model Gigi Hadid on social media. Edwards told her fans the spiritual reason behind her exotic vacation to the Maldives after sharing numerous bikini photos and photos of herself with her girl friends.
In one of the photos, the 22-year-old is seen pulling off a handstand in a cheeky swimsuit. She captioned the photo, “When you find yourself, you will be free.”
That hasn’t stopped the British media outlets from claiming that Perrie Edwards is showing Zayn Malik what he’s been missing with her sexy bikini selfies. Sure, she’s been showing off her long legs and toned stomach a lot more lately, but that doesn’t mean she’s obsessed with her ex-fiancé. The former One Direction star recently revealed his ideal woman in a candid interview with Billboard magazine.
“I need a challenge. Also, I like girls that are a bit chunky in certain areas — the nice areas. I like a fuller woman. I enjoy an intellectual conversation as well, where someone can construct a sentence beyond what hair and makeup they’re wearing, and talk about something political or about the world. I like an opinion.”
Meanwhile, Look Magazine has quoted Perrie Edwards as saying that she would like to find a nice guy to date in 2016.
“I’m going to take every day as it comes and I feel like I’m going to have my best year ever. I think 2016 could be my year and it could be Little Mix’s year too. It depends if anyone asks me (about dating). Hopefully, a nice fella will come along.”
In Glamour UK’s January issue, her bandmate and friend Jade Thirwall revealed that both her and Edwards will hopefully find a new boyfriend this year.
It’s been four months since Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik have broken off their engagement, and it’s clear that she wants to move on. Back in November, she revealed that she is “single and ready to mingle,” and she’s been linked to model and club promoter Leon King.
