Kimberly Naquin, a teacher at Destrehan High School in Destrehan, Louisiana, faces charges after a teenage girl who attends the school admitted she had a relationship with the teacher for close to a year.
New York Daily News reports that Naquin, 26, teaches at the same school where two other teachers were arrested for having a "threesome" with a male student, although the incidents are separate and happened at different times and places. Court documents reveal that Naquin, a geography teacher, allegedly began the relationship with the teen girl in September 2014, and it continued until August 2015.
The teen girl reportedly involved with Naquin didn't initially confess. It wasn't until after a family member called the police that the teen fessed up and informed authorities of the relationship. The police revealed that the teacher and the teen girl have allegedly had sex in the classroom, at the teen's home, and at the teacher's home.WWL reports that police began investigating on January 13, after the student's family member claimed that Naquin was carrying on a relationship with the girl. Detectives with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office subsequently interviewed the girl, and then arrested Naquin. According to a statement by Stevie Crovetto, the director of public information at the St. Charles Parish Public Schools,
"The school system is fully cooperating with the Sheriff's Office. The teacher has been suspended without pay in accordance with district policy and procedures pending the outcome of an investigation. This is a personnel issue; therefore, no other information will be released at this time."Naquin is also facing additional charges in Kenner, Louisiana. According to the Kenner Police Department, Naquin has an outstanding for 10 felony counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile. After she makes bail in St. Charles Parish, she'll immediately be arrested again and taken to Kenner to face her other charges.

Meanwhile, Naquin will no longer be able to teach while the investigation into her case continues. The school system suspended the geography teacher, without pay. Naquin is a Louisiana State University graduate, and prior to the incident, was a co-sponsor of the Destrehan High Beta Club chapter. She's also the daughter of St. Charles Parish School Board President Dennis Naquin and Karen Naquin, a teacher in the St. Charles Parish public school system.
Kimberly Naquin was being held at the Nelson Coleman Correctional facility on a $75,000 bond, but the most recent jail roster indicates she is no longer incarcerated in St. Charles Parish.
