Rob Kardashian Diabetes Scare Not Scary Enough: Rob’s Not Taking It ‘Seriously’

A diabetes diagnoses should be enough to scare someone into changing their lifestyle, but for Rob Kardashian, diabetes isn’t scary enough. Rob has been diagnosed with diabetes recently, after years of reclusiveness following a 100 pound weight gain. In December, Rob was rushed to the hospital and admitted after experiencing some nasty breathing problems. Radar Online reported an inside scoop on why Rob agreed to go to the emergency room.

“He was having trouble breathing and he was sweating profusely. Rob did not even want to go to the hospital. His family made him.”

Rob was diagnosed with diabetes on his trip to the hospital, and the Kardashian sisters thought the diagnosis would help their only brother sort out his life. Life and Style reported on an interview Khloé Kardashian had with GMA. Khloé believed in Rob, and was certain he’d start taking steps to beat the diabetes.

“He’s taking it seriously. He got out [of the hospital] before the new year. I was like, ‘OK. Let’s leave all that stuff, then. Listen, you found out what the problem is. Let’s tackle it head-on.'”

But, Khloé was wrong about Rob. He wasn’t taking the diabetes diagnoses seriously at all. One of the first clues was Rob’s return to social media. Fans expected Rob Kardashian would share something about living with diabetes, but that’s not what happened. Two weeks after the diagnoses, Rob “broke his silence” on social media to post a “disturbing joke” about losing the Power Ball. Kardashian fans were not impressed.

Now, TMZ reports that a source close to the family says the Kardashians are “worried sick” about Rob, and believe that if he doesn’t make some radical changes in his lifestyle, “he could die.” Rob’s diabetes is so serious that he has to self-inject insulin every day, but he’s completely uninterested in getting rid of the “crap” in his diet or working to lose weight. The Kardashians have decided to take matters into their own hands, and are “rallying round” their brother to help Rob get control of his diabetes.

“Problem is, Rob is halfhearted about the whole thing and not committing to the diet or exercise, and the family is worried his condition will worsen and his life will be in peril.”

Rob now has his own personal chef who “specializes in diabetes diets.” Rob’s sisters and mom, Kris Jenner, hired the chef in an attempt to convince Rob to eat better. Kourtney, Kim and Khloé also went all out and hired a personal trainer and a nutritionist for Rob, but all that Kardashian care doesn’t seem to be working.

According to People, Rob’s been away from Keeping Up With the Kardashians since momager Kris Jenner said that he was too “emotionally unstable.” For Rob, keeping up with the Kardashian family isn’t on his list of priorities. The Mirror reports that Kris Jenner explained Rob’s hiatus to Maria Shriver. Jenner said that Rob would be fine with doing the show, but he just “wasn’t feeling good.”

“He was depressed and just wasn’t feeling good and didn’t know why.”

Now, Rob has everything in place to help him feel better, but he doesn’t want to bother. The Kardashians aren’t planning an intervention for Rob, but they are desperately hoping the reality will kick in, and the diabetes diagnoses will finally “scare him healthy.”
