‘Blade & Soul’ Head Start Live, New Signature Packs Now Available

Blade & Soul, the Wuxia tale filled with betrayal, martial arts, action combat, and much more is now available to play in the West thanks to the Head Start launch. Players that purchased any one of the three Founder’s Packs can start their journey in Blade & Soul right now while other players will need to wait until official launch on January 19.

The martial arts MMORPG from NCSoft and Team Bloodlust features four races, seven classes, and two main factions. Players begin their journey by choosing each one of those aspects in addition to customizing the appearance of their character. Several of the races and classes in Blade & Soul are bound to certain restrictions. For example, only a Lyn can be a Summoner, only a Gon can be a Destroyer. Further, only a Jin can be an Assassin and only a Lyn can be the Blade Dancer.

Players interested in Blade & Soul that have not purchased a Founder’s Pack can still buy access to the Head Start. Founder’s Packs will be on sale until the game officially launches on January 19. According to the game’s official website, the Blade & Soul outfits and weapon skins in the Founder’s Packs will not be available after the Founder’s Packs are retired.

Two new packs are now purchasable, too. The new Signature Packs provide items that are otherwise available individually for a discounted price. Two packs are currently available; the Student Pack and the Duelist Pack. Both offer items and amenities that will make a player’s journey a little smoother in Blade & Soul.

The Student Bundle costs 399 NCoin and includes seven days of Premium Membership, special cosmetic sunglasses, 10 Hongmoon Unsealing Charms, three Dragon Trade Pouches, and 10 Master Field Repair Tools. The pouches let a character expand its personal or bank inventory, and the charms let characters identify gear before they can equip it. A bundle of 400 NCoin costs $5 making this a rather affordable addition.

The Duelist Bundle includes different items and costs 2,699 NCoin. In this pack, players will find 10 Traditional Hongmoon Dragon Soups, one Training Expansion Ticket, 30 days of Premium Membership, one Hongmoon Brilliant Viridian Key, and two Hongmoon Brilliant Cinderlands Keys. The soups in this pack increase experience gain, and the ticket gives a character access to another tab in the skill book for quick switching. The keys in this Blade & Soul pack unlock weapon chests that are obtained from the zones in the name of the keys. For instance, the Viridian Key opens weapon chests found on the Viridian Coast.

Players can purchase either Signature Pack directly from the Blade & Soul website. These packs can only be purchased once, and the items will be delivered to the account’s in-game mail. Players should note that the Premium Membership included in the Signature Packs will immediately activate once the purchase is made. Check out the FAQ for more answered questions on the Signature Packs.

Blade & Soul is available now for players with Head Start access. Until the official launch of the MMORPG on January 19, players can purchase a Founder’s Pack to gain early access. Blade & Soul is a free-to-play game, though, so no purchase will be necessary to access the game on January 19. As the Inquisitr reported, the game boasts a level cap of 45, engaging combat, and a truly engrossing Wuxia tale. Players can further support Blade & Soul by opting in to the optional subscription called Premium Membership. As players spend money on the game, including subscribing, more Premium Points are earned making the membership more potent.

Players can download the game now for free. The download is 22 GB and the full list of system requirements can be found on the official site.
