‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Update: Rob Kardashian Returns? Kris Jenner Claims He Wants To ‘Come Back’

Keeping Up With The Kardashians may soon include a return by Rob Kardashian, the family’s reclusive younger brother. Although the 28-year-old quit the show in 2012 and has rarely been seen or spoken of since, he allegedly wants to return, which means fans could eventually seen him on the show. However, when it comes to when, his comeback has yet to be determined.

According to a new report, via People Magazine on January 15, Rob’s mom, Kris Jenner, has confirmed he wants to return to Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

“Well, he’s still part of [Keeping Up With The Kardashians],” Jenner said during the Architects of Change event she hosted with Maria Shriver on Thursday, January 14, in Los Angeles. “He’s had a year where he kind of wanted to chill. He hasn’t been feeling well. We didn’t really know why. He was just diagnosed with diabetes so we’re taking care of that, but he’s always around.”

Weeks ago, after celebrating the holidays with family, Rob was rushed to the hospital after suffering from stomach pains, and was later diagnosed with diabetes. Although Jenner didn’t say what caused the former reality star to become diabetic, his weight likely played a part. After leaving Keeping Up With The Kardashians nearly four years ago, Rob gained a whopping 100 pounds in just one year and proceeded to remain in hiding for the majority of his life since.

When Shiver questioned Jenner about whether she has continued canceling Keeping Up With The Kardashians due to her son’s struggles, Jenner said “it would be really hard,” and added that Rob “enjoys the family” and “all of the family stuff” they do. She also confirmed she and the family see him often.

“He has his business. He has a sock line and his stuff, but I think that it was just the perfect time for him to take a little hiatus because he does that. We were doing that,” Jenner said. “We just said, ‘Get well. Feel better.’ He was depressed and just wasn’t feeling good and didn’t know why.”

Although Rob is rarely photographed in Los Angeles, despite the bevy of paparazzi who loved to take photo of the rest of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians cast, his mother insisted he spends plenty of time with her and his siblings, who include his half-sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

“He’s with us all the time,” she said.

“[Rob] wants to still come back and shoot [Keeping Up With The Kardashians]. He just wants to feel better,” she explained. “It’s not that he doesn’t want to be on the show. It’s just he wasn’t feeling good.”

When Jenner was asked about how she manages her differing roles in each of her childrens’ lives, she offered the following response.

“I think at this point when your kids are in their 30s – Khloé, Kourtney and Kim, with those three I am more of a friend than a mom because they’re pretty much at this point telling me what to do. I don’t want to be that nasty mom all the time, griping and telling them what to do because I still want them to take care of me when I get really old.”

Keeping Up With The Kardashians Season 11 is currently airing on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on the E! Network. No word yet on when Rob could potentially re-join the cast.
