Ray Allen Traded To Miami Heat, According To Fake Twitter Account
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yaho00! Sports, Ray Allen is packing his bags for Miami. Of course, that extra “o” in Yahoo is the difference between the truth and a made up story.
Allen, for the time being, is still a member of the Boston Celtics.
The shooting guard visited the Miami Heat earlier this week but he hasn’t signed a three-year $11 million contract to bring his talents to Long Beach.
Adrian Wojnarowski is a trusted name for breaking sport news and several NBA fans follow his Twitter account, @WojYahooNBA, to get the latest basketball news. And since the Twitter account is a trusted source for news, it’s also a target for pranksters.

According to the Huffington Post, at least one news station ran with @WojYahoooNBA’s tweet.
WSVN reported last night that Allen had signed with the Miami Heat. And since Allen is a free agent, and since he visited Miami earlier this week, the rumor spread like wildfire.
