Rob Kardashian Is ‘Getting Help’ After Diabetes Diagnosis, Will Possibly Undergo Gastric Bypass [Report]

Is Rob Kardashian finally getting the help he needs? According to a new report, Rob Kardashian recently received some tough love from his sisters, and apparently, it was just what he needed after being diagnosed with diabetes weeks ago.

“[Rob Kardashian] has his sisters Khloe and Kourtney to thank for their refusal to give up on him,” a source close to the family told Radar Online on January 14.

Rob Kardashian fell ill over the holiday season and was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles, where, after a number of tests, doctors determined he was diabetic. Rob Kardashian’s hospitalization was shocking for most, but for some, it wasn’t too surprising. In the last few years, as Kris Jenner revealed on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Rob Kardashian has gained over 100 pounds and is rarely seen publicly. Prior to his hospitalization, Rob Kardashian hadn’t been seen since June 2015, and when he stepped out in Los Angeles at that time, he was seen at a fast food restaurant.

According to Radar Online, Rob Kardashian, who has been living with his sister, Khloe, the youngest of the Kardashian women, for the last few years, was recently given an ultimatum by his longtime roommate.

“Khloe just let [Rob Kardashian] have it this weekend and told him that she is not going to allow him to die under her roof, and that he needed to either get it together, or get out.”

In addition to the ultimatum by Khloe, Rob Kardashian was also confronted by his oldest sibling, Kourtney Kardashian, who joined Khloe and Rob during their recent chat.

“Kourtney also went over to their house with the kids and the three of them basically had a huge crying session,” the source revealed.

The site revealed that Rob Kardashian had been refusing to stop his unhealthy ways, which led to great concern from his family members. However, according to an interview yesterday, that recently changed.

While talking to Lara Spencer, 31-year-old reality star and author Khloe told Good Morning America that their worries are coming to an end.

“He’s taking it seriously,” she said. “We’re only 13 days into the New Year, but that’s good enough for me.”

In addition to Rob Kardashian reportedly getting help, he may also be getting surgery.

“Kris told [Rob Kardashian] it’s time to take action — she wants him to have gastric bypass or gastric banding surgery,” an insider revealed to In Touch Weekly, via Radar Online. “Kris has already booked an appointment for a long consultation with LA’s leading bypass surgeon, and [Rob Kardashian] has agreed to go. He knows this is his only option right now.”

Although it is unclear whether or not Rob Kardashian will actually have surgery, it may be a good idea for the troubled star, who simply can’t seem to get his life back on track.

Since leaving Keeping Up with the Kardashians in 2012, Rob Kardashian has been suffering from weight gain and depression, and sadly, his unhealthy lifestyle has caught up with him. Hopefully, in the months ahead, he will do what he needs to do in order to get to a healthier place.

If Rob Kardashian is successful in his efforts to regain his health, there may be a chance fans could eventually see him return to Keeping Up with the Kardashians for a future season, which has been rumored for months but has not happened as of yet.
