Bethenny Frankel admits that her behavior towards Erika Girardi, shown on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, wasn’t so nice. Yet Bethenny doesn’t care about the criticism that she has received because of her behavior. She also pointed out that she’s not in reality TV just to play nice.
Prior to the episode’s airing on Tuesday night, Bethenny posted a tweet in which she admitted that she was “a little judgy” with Erika. Bethenny added that she’ll stick to The Real Housewives of New York City.
“I was def a little judgy with @erikajayne tnt. Looks like @LisaVanderpump & I stuck our noses in some s**t tnt. Oops. I’ll stick to NY.”
In response to one fan who tweeted that she loves Bethenny, Bethenny said that she’s not playing it safe on reality TV.
Love you too. And as long as i'm reality tv, I ain't playin' it safe. https://t.co/Zb8SoCZXtA— Bethenny Frankel (@Bethenny) January 13, 2016
Another viewer tweeted that Bethenny was “throwing shade.” Bethenny responded that the Beverly Hills women already get enough sun back home, so when they come to New York, they get some shade. Bethenny added that she gives “zero f**ks.”
“They get enough sun in LA. Come to NY for the SHADE
Bethenny also retweeted a viewer’s tweet that people shouldn’t ask for Bethenny’s opinion if they can’t handle it.
Yet several people pointed out that Erika didn’t ask for Bethenny’s opinion.
Bethenny Frankel, one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New York City, made an appearance on Tuesday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Kyle Richards, who was in the Hamptons to open a second location of her clothing boutique, paid a visit to Bethenny, who was in the Hamptons at the same time. Besides catching up with Kyle, with whom she has been friends for many years, Bethenny met most of the other women on the Beverly Hills show.
During a group dinner, the women started talking about Erika’s music and music videos, performed under her alter ego Erika Jayne. Erika asked Bethenny if she wants to see a video and then showed her the “Painkillr” video. When Bethenny asked if Erika wanted to know her honest thoughts, Lisa Vanderpump shouted, “Yeah!” Bethenny didn’t hold back.
“I don’t love the production value…I think it goes too slow in the beginning and it looks a little, it looks cheap. I think it was sort of trying to look avant-garde but it’s not quite getting it, with that kind of like silver, cheesy bed….I didn’t like the beats in the back until the three girls were on…”
Bethenny even told Erika that she has her alter ego wrong and that she thought of her as “Bambi” when she first saw her. Erika kept calm and didn’t let Bethenny’s criticism visibly bother her.
In her interview, Erika said that Bethenny shouldn’t tell her what to do with her music. Erika also responded to Bethenny likening her to a hooker.
“I’m not going to tell anybody what to do with their Skinnygirl s**t so she shouldn’t tell me what to do with mine.”
Immediately after The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills aired, Erika Girardi’s blog post addressing Bethenny Frankel’s comments was published. Despite its short length, Erika’s blog post packs quite the punch. In it, she said that she’s not ashamed and that she won’t be fearful of what other people, people who don’t have the courage to be themselves, think. Erika added that those other people live in fear of being judged by others who are not important.
“I am not ashamed of who I am or the ideas and lifestyle I represent. I will not be fearful of what others may think or say, because at the end of the day they do not have the courage to be themselves. They live in fear of being judged by those who are of little consequence.”
