Last night on Monday Night Raw, Brock Lesnar returned to WWE television to cause havoc to anyone that gets in front of him. By the end of the night, it was obvious that he was going to not just be in the Royal Rumble, but he had all intentions of winning it. During his carnage streak on Monday night, Kevin Owens got in Lesnar’s way and now the former Intercontinental Champion has had some strong words for the “Beast Incarnate.”
WWE is currently in Louisiana and tonight, they will take SmackDown from the Cajundome in Lafayatte. Owens was a guest of KATC and did an interview about the event and also what happened on Raw last night.
In the main event, Owens was one of close to a dozen superstars who Vince McMahon pitted against WWE Champion Roman Reigns. Once chaos broke out, Lesnar came down to the ring and destroyed everyone in sight before turning his attention to Reigns and giving him a devastating F-5 to end the show.
“He [Lesnar] kind of put his nose in my business where he shouldn’t have. Maybe that’s where we’re going to go soon. There’s obviously beef with Brock Lesnar after last night.”
After Monday Night Raw, it appears that Lesnar’s primary goal and vision is to enter the Royal Rumble match, which he has now done, and recapture the WWE Title. He simply showed at the end of last night’s show that he won’t side with anyone and is against everyone.
Eleven names have been officially announced for the rumble match per WWE, and Kevin Owens is not one of them. Rumor has it that he will face off with Dean Ambrose again at the Pay-Per-View for the Intercontinental Title, but he could also be added to the 30-superstar match.
If he does enter the match, there’s a good chance that Owens and Lesnar would meet face-to-face again. Things really didn’t go so well for Owens last night when Lesnar hit the ring and absolutely decimated him and everyone else in the ring.
Back during the summer, Owens actually talked about there being one big and main opponent for him and that is Brock Lesnar. There were even some who thought he would end up interfering in Lesnar’s match with The Undertaker at SummerSlam, but that didn’t happen.
Early last month, Owens started talking about Lesnar again and put forth even more fighting words as reported by The Inquisitr.
“I’d love to see if I could hang with him and see how much I could hurt him.”
It just really seems like no matter what is happening at any given time, Kevin Owens wants to try and pick a fight with Brock Lesnar. Now sure, he had just wrestled a 10+ minute match against Roman Reigns last night by the time Lesnar hit the ring, so maybe he wasn’t fully prepared for the face-off.
Then again, Lesnar destroyed every single person that was even close to the ring last night, and he did it with simplistic ease. One has to feel sorry for anyone that even gets near him during the Royal Rumble match.
Brock Lesnar’s return is one of the most talked about stories and at this time, it certainly seems like taking back the WWE World Heavyweight Title is his goal. Kevin Owens hasn’t been on WWE’s main roster very long, but he’s already proving he won’t back down from anyone by constantly taunting the “Beast Incarnate.”
