Drake’s ‘Views From The 6’ Not Dropping In January? ‘Hotline Bling’ Rapper Still In The Studio

Drake may be keeping fans guessing as to when his highly anticipated Views From the 6 album will drop, but it appears that the “Hotline Bling” rapper isn’t quite finished with the impending project.

Just weeks after Drake teased concertgoers that Views is “coming soon” during his New Year’s Eve bash in Miami, Drake recently took to Instagram to share a photo of himself working in the studio, Complex reports.

In the photo, captured by photographer Theo Skudra, Drake can be seen sitting at a console in the recording studio while keeping his back turned towards the camera.

While some fans expressed their eagerness for Views‘ arrival, especially given that Drake’s OVO team has been dropping some major hints about the album’s release recently, other fans took to social media to express their frustration over the continued delay in the album’s release.

“Drake can stop playing with my emotions and just drop views from the 6 today,” one fan wrote on Twitter in response to Drake’s new photo.

Similarly, another fan adds, “Drake being super irritating with Views lol like he’s done with it but he just being petty, holding out.”

The news comes just one week after fans lashed out at rumors claiming that Drake’s Views From the 6 would be available on January 6, only for Drake to seemingly shut down the claims by sharing a video of himself taking a “studio break” to play ping pong on Instagram.

In addition, producer Noah “40” Shebib sent fans into a frenzy earlier this week after he shared a photo of a computer file titled “VIEWS” to Instagram, seemingly hinting that he and Drake had completed work on the highly-anticipated album.

With Drake’s newest photo seemingly hinting that Views From the 6 isn’t ready for release, some fans are speculating that the record may not even be available until February at the earliest.

“Drake will drop VIEWS on February 6th,” one Twitter user alleges, “February is a significant month for Drake.”

Similarly, another fan speculates that Drake may be delaying his album’s release given the fact that Kanye West recently confirmed that his new album, SWISH, will be available in February, while rumors suggest that Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole’s highly anticipated collaborative album will be dropping soon after.

“I’m not too comfortable with ‘Ye dropping in February. I know Drake is gonna try to steal the shine with Views,” one fan writes while another adds, “Drake has to drop Views in February…preferably the same week as Kanye and Kendrick/Cole…that would be cool.”

While Drake continues to drop hints about Views‘ upcoming release, the rapper recently made headlines alongside ex-girlfriend Rihanna after the duo were spotted filming a new music video together in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Just weeks after a rumored snippet of the duo’s new track, “Work,” appeared online, an alleged casting call for the track’s music video surfaced online last week, seemingly confirming speculation that a new Drake and Rihanna collaboration on the horizon, Vibe reports.

On Sunday, several photos and a brand new snippet of the duo’s impending track made its way onto Twitter, offering fans a first look into what they can expect from Rihanna and Drake’s upcoming collaboration.

In addition, DJ Khaled, who was rumored to have been present on the set of Drake and Rihanna’s music video, teased via Snapchat that he and Drake are working on something new together. However, neither Drake nor DJ Khaled have specified what type of project is to come in the future.
