Rob Kardashian’s Sister Khloe Thought He Was Being ‘Dramatic’ About Symptoms Prior To Hospitalization

Rob Kardashian was hospitalized earlier this month and diagnosed with diabetes, but according to his sister, Khloe, she wasn’t immediately convinced that his symptoms were truly something to be concerned about. In a new interview, Rob Kardashian’s sister, whom he’s been living with for years, admitted she thought he was being “dramatic” prior to his hospitalization.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, via Radar Online on January 9, Khloe said she thought Rob Kardashian’s account of his symptoms, which included shortness of breath and sweating, was a “cry for attention.”

“It was really scary,” Khloe said of the moments leading up to Rob Kardashian’s diabetes diagnosis. “We were at home and [Rob Kardashian] just kept having trouble breathing.”

During a prior interview with E! News, Khloe spoke of an “intervention” she had with Rob Kardashian, which had aired on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

“We didn’t mean to film [it] and it just happened. We filmed an intervention that aired… not so much like a sit-down and this blah, blah, blah, it was like over the phone and it was just like that’s when the time happened and we happened to be filming and we just needed to really address a lot of stuff with [Rob Kardashian],” Khloe said last Thursday.

According to Khloe, during the conversation she acknowledged she was “an enabler,” and that she babied her younger sibling too much. However, at the same time, she said she’d never kick Rob Kardashian out of her home.

“I think [Rob Kardashian]’s health scare really again, leaving that in 2015 all the bad stuff, 2016 I think is gonna be a really positive great year. And I think that health scare hopefully rattled Rob a little bit and maybe woke him up … I know it’s only what January 7 or 8, it’s only eight days of this year but I think I’ve seen such a great transformation just mentally right now. So I hope that sticks. Again it’s only been a week, but I hope that sticks and I’m always praying and rooting for Rob.”

“I’m very hopeful,” Khloe continued. “We gotta get [Rob Kardashian] back out here doing his thing. We all miss [Rob Kardashian], he’s the best.”

Rob Kardashian was hospitalized days after the holidays, after complaining of stomach pains and other symptoms. After being advised to seek medical attention, Rob Kardashian traveled to a Los Angeles hospital, where after testing, doctors determined he was diabetic. Although no exact cause was given, it has been widely reported that Rob Kardashian’s substantial weight gain and bad eating habits was likely the leading factor.

As Rob Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, revealed during an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians last year, Rob Kardashian put on a whopping 100 pounds in just one year after leaving the show in 2012.

Since leaving the show, Rob Kardashian has lived a reclusive life, far away from the E! Network cameras, and from the paparazzi of Los Angeles. Although he has been spotted on occasion while running errands around town, his public sightings have been few and far between. Meanwhile, on the show, Rob Kardashian is rarely mentioned, which has left fans wondering what is truly going on with the former star.

In addition to suffering from a massive weight gain, Rob Kardashian has also struggled with depression in recent years, which has been discussed on the show.

Although an Us Weekly report in September, 2015, alleged Rob Kardashian had filmed scenes for the currently airing 11th season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, he has not yet been seen.
