‘The Bachelor’ 2016 Spoilers For Episode 3: Ben Higgins Flies High On Next Dates In Season 20 [Updated]

Ben Higgins is hoping to find his future wife on ABC’s The Bachelor 2016 season this winter. He has had his first dates, seen some drama from various bachelorettes, and he has made some romantic connections. What can viewers expect from Episode 3 airing on Monday, January 18?

According to Reality Steve’s spoilers, Episode 3 follows the typical format for this show and the dates again take place in Los Angeles. Ben Higgins will have one group date and two individual dates, and several bachelorettes will be left without the opportunity to go on these outings.

Steve’s Bachelor spoilers detail that the first date in this episode will go to flight attendant Lauren Bushnell. Ben and Lauren will get to head up in a plane for their date and Reality Steve’s spoilers detail that they check out the Malibu area. One gal on Twitter managed to spot them driving around in a convertible as well and it is said that Lauren got the rose on this date.

The group date in Episode 3 is once again a very large one, as Bachelor spoilers indicate that 12 ladies will join Higgins for this outing. This will be a soccer-related date that was filmed at the LA Coliseum according to Reality Steve’s spoilers. Viewers will see the gals split into two teams and U.S. Women’s National Team players Kelly O’Hara and Alex Morgan will be on-hand as coaches.

The team that loses heads back to the hotel while the winning team gets some additional time with Ben. Reality Steve’s Bachelor spoilers detail that Amber James ends up with the group date rose for this one. Many will remember Amber from her stints on Chris Soules’ Bachelor season as well as last summer’s Bachelor in Paradise.

The other individual date in this episode is said to go to Jubilee Sharpe. Steve’s Bachelor spoilers note that Jubilee and Ben will take a helicopter to San Diego during their date and they will do some wine tasting. She is said to get the rose.

Viewers who have followed the spoilers for Season 20 may find it interesting that the bachelorettes who do not get dates in this episode include JoJo Fletcher, Caila Quinn and Becca Tilley. There will be the typical cocktail party and rose ceremony in this episode, but viewers may be seeing a bit of drama here.

Reality Steve’s spoilers share that there will be some tension between Lace Morris and Ben throughout this episode, as they reportedly have some additional awkward conversations. Viewers watched as Lace drunkenly confronted Ben in the premiere for not making enough eye contact with her, even though he had already given her a rose.

While Higgins kept Lace after that exchange, wanting to get to know her better, Bachelor spoilers indicate that things just never got any less awkward. It seems that Lace will take it upon herself during the cocktail party to leave the show. At the rose ceremony, Jami Letain and Shushanna Mkrtychyan are also left without roses and head home.

Bachelor spoiler fans are quite anxious to see this Ben and Lauren date, considering some of the teasers about where things head later in the season. Higgins has had some sparks flying with a few of these Season 20 bachelorettes, but which one will get Ben’s final rose?

As the Futon Critic confirms, there is a Bachelor Live show after Episode 3 on January 18, and Chris Harrison had indicated that these will continue through January until the return of Castle.
