Leonardo DiCaprio Makes Hilarious Face As Lady Gaga Barges Past Him At Golden Globes

Well, Leonardo DiCaprio is quickly taking over the internet again. A few years ago, many were fixated on a picture of the famous actors face when he didn’t win an Oscar and decided to make countless memes about the inner machinations of his mind as all hope of winning the award slowly left his body.

There it is. When ET asked him about the encounter afterwards, his first reaction was, “That’s trending huh?”

“I just didn’t know what was passing me, that’s all,” he continued.

In case you didn’t get to see the Golden Globes yesterday, there’s also a wonderful moment where Dicaprio went to fist-bump a friend and it ended up being one huge awkward moment.

It’s fine, Leonardo DiCaprio, you’re probably going to get the Oscar soon anyway. This is more likely after last night when he received the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama. Unlike Lady Gaga, there were no issues as DiCaprio came up on stage and went into his acceptance speech.

“Wow that meant a lot, thank you so much,” he said. “Two years ago we found ourselves submerged deep in nature with all of its complications and all the beauty that it gave us cinematically. This film was about survival, it was about adaptation, it was about the triumph of the human spirit, but more than anything it was about trust.”

He then turned his attention to director Alejandro González Iñárritu, who won the Golden Globe for Best Director.

“There’s no one more deserving of that trust than our director Alejandro González Iñárritu. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this journey with you. Your leadership, your vision, your acute attention to making every day so visceral and real for us–I never had an experience like this ever in my life,” he said.

“Lastly, I want to share this award with all the first nations people represented in this film, and all the indigenous communities around the world. It is time we recognize your history and that we protect your indigenous lands from corporate interests and people that are out there to exploit them. It’s time that we heard your voice and protected this planet for future generations.”

With that, DiCaprio walked off the stage as the music played in the background. Overall, it was a fantastic night for The Revenant in general. The film also won Best Motion Picture Drama to round out the night.

“Well I have to say that it’s not about the budget, or the genre, or the ambition, or the size of the film. Every film is so difficult to make, and I have to tell that in my experience this has been the most difficult journey that I have embarked on myself,” director Alejandro González Iñárritu said in his acceptance speech.

DiCaprio has said time and time again that The Revenant was the most difficult film of his career. Leonardo told Today that he actually ate raw bison flesh during one of the scenes because he felt the original prob they gave him didn’t look real.

It was a great night for film. Other winners included Matt Damon for The Martian, Brie Larson for Room, and Sylvester Stallone for Creed.

The Oscar nominees have yet to be announced but look for them in the coming days as the film industry looks towards its most prestigious awards ceremony of the year.
