Claire Danes Is Pregnant! Actress Expecting First Child With Hugh Dancy

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves aren’t the only ones who made a big announcement over the Fourth Of July. Claire Danes and her husband Hugh Dancy also had some news to share. Danes and Dancy are expecting their first child together.

Danes and Dancy haven’t made an official announcement yet but the couple’s rep confirmed the news to People magazine.

Danes, now 33, married Dancy in 2009 in France. This will be the couple’s first child together.

Danes is currently starring in the hit show Homeland. The actress won a Golden Globe for the show last year (it was her third Golden Globe) and is ready for the second season of the hit show which premieres September 30th. A spokesman for Showtime said that Danes’ pregnancy is not expected to affect filming for the second season.

Dane’s husband will also be busy in front of the camera. Dancy, who recently starred in the acclaimed “Martha Marcy May Marlene,” will be starring in the new TV series “Hannibal.” Dancy will play Special Agent Will Graham (the character made famous by Edward Norton in “The Red Dragon”) opposite Mads Mikkelsen, who will play the infamous Hannibal Lecter (a character made famous by Anthony Hopkins in “Silence Of The Lambs.”
