Tom Cruise: Leah Remini Says Being Critical Of Cruise Is Considered ‘Evil’ In Scientology

Tom Cruise has been much loved on the big screen for many years. Best known for his roles in films such as Top Gun, Mission Impossible, and the Jack Reacher franchise, Deadline reports that Aldis Hodge of Straight Outta Compton thinks Cruise is awesome.

Hodge is in the new Jack Reacher: Never Go Back alongside Tom Cruise, and he is really enjoying the experience of working with Cruise.

“Tom has been remarkably awesome. He is really accessible when it comes to trying to learn something. He’s really forthcoming with information with his experience, how he sees filmmaking. His main priority is making sure that every actor on the film looks great, feels great, does great. He’s one of those actors who is trying to promote his team to be the best that they can be, and you can feel it. He speaks to everybody on set, he’s nice to everybody, because he understands. He’s not just an actor, he’s not just a marquee name on the ticket, he is also a producer. So he’s going to produce the best product.”

It’s true that Tom Cruise is very concerned about the final product. In November, a source told People that Cruise is deeply involved in the shooting of the new Jack Reacher film.

“Tom is very involved in the shooting of this film. When his is not in a scene, he is on the radio talking to the crew and staying in contact with the entire film set. He seems very invested in making the scenes perfect. After every shot, he goes back to look at the monitors and discuss any changes with the director and the other members of the crew.”

Kirsten Dunst is another who adores Tom Cruise. Maybe it has something to do with the Christmas cake he delivers to her every holiday season. StarPulse reports that ever since Cruise starred in Interview With A Vampire with Dunst in 1994, he has sent her a Christmas cake every year.

“I run into Tom. He sends me a cake every Christmas. I call it the Cruise Cake. It’s so good — a coconut cake with white chocolate chips. It gets eaten within a day in my house. When the Cruise Cake gets delivered, it’s like, ‘Cruise Cake’s here!’ My friends know what that means.”

But Tom Cruise is on the hate list for some people, particularly Leah Remini. Daily Mail reports that Remini was recently interviewed by ABCs 20/20 and talked about her. Remini spent 30 years in the Scientology religion before she left it. Of Scientology, she said after a while it’s easy to lose touch.

“As time goes on, you start to lose touch with the real world. The mindset becomes ‘Us against them’.”

Remini also attacked Tom Cruise on a personal level, which is frowned upon by the Church of Scientology.

“Being critical of Tom Cruise is being critical of Scientology itself… you are evil.”

Despite Remini’s disclosures, Tom Cruise is moving ahead with his life. He got back to the Jack Reacher set right after the holidays, and he is also selling off one huge British property. The National Post reports that the 11,331-square-foot home is located near the U.K. Scientology headquarters. With six bedrooms and over 14 acres, Cruise bought the mansion with ex-wife Katie Holmes for a reported $6 million. Tom Cruise is now selling it for $10 million.

Many might question Tom Cruise’s religious affiliations, but no one can dispute his talent as an actor, nor his devotion to his career and his art. Good luck filming your new movie, Tom Cruise!
