Harry Styles’ Secret Singing Lessons: Is The One Direction Fave Heading For Solo Career?

Harry Styles’ fans have been worried for a while, and rightly so: the One Direction singer is obviously making sure he’s good enough to go solo by taking singing lessons. Although that’s not exactly the most surprising of news for a member of a singing band, the revelation hasn’t helped calm fans down who were already speculating Harry may be leaving the boys soon.

And it’s not just fans who think Harry could go solo, music mogul Jay Z recently said he could make Styles the biggest star in the world, so there’s obviously some potential there!

The band is currently on a break for the next year or so, but some believe it could be forever, due to some undying tensions between Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles, as reported by the Sun in October.

Although band favorite Harry has reassured his fans before, the One Direction hiatus could easily become an excuse for them to go their separate ways, and it’s already been confirmed he’s been working hard on his own music.

Four of his songs have now been registered with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) in the U.S, according to the BBC.

The Inquisitr previously reported that this has made Harry’s fans freak out and the four songs, “5378 Miles,” “Already Home,” “Coco,” and “Endlessly,” were pretty good evidence a solo career was on the cards for Harry.

But adding to this the new singing lessons and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a Styles Solo album before the end of 2016! Mentor and star rapper Jay Z, who previously coached Rihanna and Kanye West, is a big Harry Styles supporter himself, as the Guardian reported this week.

But this would necessarily imply a breakup from the band he’s been a part of for the last five years, and which has propelled him to worldwide stardom? Speaking to the Daily Star on Sunday, Jay Z said it wasn’t exposure Harry needed.

“But he does need to make the transition from being part of a group to becoming an individual artist,” the rapper said.

He added he could help Styles work with “the bigger artists, the bigger producers,” in order to make him “the biggest artist in the world within a year.”

So, in preparation for the next stage of his career, Harry Styles has enlisted the services of vocal coach Ron Anderson, who’s worked with big names such as Adele, Leona Lewis, and Kylie Minogue.

Harry’s now got plenty of time on his hands to improve his skills and make sure he stays on top of them — so, in a way, it’s not that surprising to hear he’s taking singing lessons. But Ron is a big weight in the industry, and this could show Harry doesn’t only want to keep up, but rather excel in order to be good enough to go solo. After all, it’s one thing to sing in a band, it’s another one to be your own frontman!

Currently based in London, Harry wouldn’t have a problem flying over to Los Angeles to meet up with his coach, or flying him over to Europe.

But Harry, 21, isn’t the only one to have solo ambitions. Bandmate Liam Payne, 22, has made no secret of his plan to become a songwriter, producer, and DJ during One Direction’s hiatus. He’s already been working under Big Payno and US rapper Juicy J.

So who will make it solo first? With no end date announced for the One Direction hiatus, let’s keep our eyes peeled for Harry Styles and Liam Payne’s works!
