It looks like there may be another Dancing with the Stars wedding coming up soon. Reports say that pro dancer Mark Ballas has proposed to girlfriend BC Jean. While the couple has not officially announced the news just yet, there is apparently a huge rock on her finger to prove it.
Photos have surfaced, according to Us Weekly, that show BC, whose full name is Brittany Jean Carlson, wearing a good-size engagement ring. A source told the magazine that Mark Ballas actually popped the question around Thanksgiving, and that they have chosen to keep quiet about it for now.
“They have been keeping their exciting news on the down-low as they wanted to celebrate and enjoy the holidays with close friends and family.”

On Friday, January 8, the twosome was performing together at the Viper Room in Hollywood. This is when many sources said that they saw the ring flashed on the 28-year-old’s finger. Mark and BC have been together since 2012, and have become quite inseparable ever since. It almost seems like a match made in heaven. They both also seem to have a love for hats, as seen in many photos of them. But it may be that their love for music may have been the key to their relationship.
Even though BC is not a professional dancer like Mark Ballas, she is a talented musician. She is the writer behind Beyoncé’s hit, “If I Were A Boy.” The newly-engaged couple also teamed up together to write a sweet song called “Roses And Violets.” That one was performed by Mark and BC at the wedding of Duck Dynasty’s John Luke Robertson and Mary Kate McEacharn last year.
Ballas and his fiancé have been on stage together performing in Las Vegas with the band R5. In a recent interview with TooFab, they dished all about their relationship and making beautiful music together.

It seems that Mark was more interested in dating than in having a work relationship when they first met at a charity event. He said that he was highly impressed with her voice first, and then he also liked what he saw after that.
“I couldn’t see her. I could only hear her. I remember going to my cousin saying, ‘Whoever that is is incredible, amazing.’ I remember sitting, listening to the sound of her voice, her voice has so much texture and whiskey and roughness to it. I was expecting this Janis Joplin-y looking, hippie person in her mid-40s. And then I saw her and went, ‘Oh, I like that!’ I played my set and she stuck around and watched.”
The songstress was impressed by Mark’s talent and also his hip thrusts she witnessed at the event, but it was two months before she said yes to their first date. Once they started spending some time together and eventually dating steadily, they went on to write songs together, as well as formed a band called Alexander Jean. Now, they are anticipating their new EP sometime very soon. They would also love to go out on a full tour together.
With a new season of Dancing with the Stars coming up this spring, Mark Ballas may have to do some career balancing — that is, if he is asked to come back to the ballroom floor. The 29-year-old pro dancer has been a staple on the ABC show, and fans would certainly miss him if he were not to come back to dance.
With the news of Mark and BC’s upcoming nuptials, they join other DWTS newly engaged couples who are also planning their weddings. Maksim Chmerkovskiy surprised Peta Murgatroyd with an onstage proposal in December. Fans are quite excited to see those two get hitched. In addition, judge Julianne Hough is also engaged, and is in the process of planning her wedding to fiancé Brooks Laich. He proposed last September.
Fellow dancer Witney Carson just had the wedding of her dreams to longtime boyfriend Carson McAllister over New Year’s. It looks like true love and romance has hit Dancing with the Stars big time!
As for Mark Ballas and BC Jean, fans will just have to wait for an announcement from either of them to make it completely official.
