Montreal Severed Head Belongs To Magnotta’s Lover, Police Confirm


Police in Montreal have confirmed that a head found in a city park over the weekend belongs to a Chinese student who was ellegedly dismembered by Canadian porn actor Luka Rocco Magnotta.

The Chinese student, Jun Lin, was Magnotta’s lover, and his slaying is being considered one of Canada’s most gruesome murders in recent history, according to Yahoo News.

A spokesman for the Montreal police confirmed the remains found in the park as a severed head, and also confirmed that medical tests confirmed the head was Lin’s, the only remaining body part police had not discovered.

Yahoo News notes that Magnotta allegedly mailed Lin’s hands and feet to the offices of political parties in Ottowa, as well as schools in Vancouver. His torso was found in a pile of garbage.

The Montreal Gazette reports that Luka Magnotta, who is a 29-year-old stripper and gay porn actor, was returned to Montreal in June following an international man hunt which ended in Berlin when police discovered him at an internet cafe, reading stories about himself.

Magnotta has already pleaded not guilty to five charges, which include one of first-degree murder of Lin, which reportedly took place on the night of May 25th. The Montreal Gazette notes that Luka Rocco Magnotta makes his next court appearance on January 9th, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 9th.
